so the car will run... but if i let off the gas, when i get to low rpm's it stalls

the things noticed that "could" affect it

1.front left corner of the engine there is a sensor of some sort, the wire is broken

2. switch that releases when the gas pedal is pushed, one of the leads coming out of it is broken

3. first vacuum nipple on the intake manifold has no line going anywhere

those are the quirks that ive noticed so far... i can repair the wire under the motor easily, but the little switch under the gas pedal i have no idea what it does, but ill need to replace it...

theres no vacuum path sticker under the hood of the car it appears to be ripped off... can someone post a pic of theirs?

the other thing thats been suggested is the intake manifold gasket....

any other suggestions?
i think ill try to fix all of the above, and if it still persists, ill just take it to the local shop... this is supposed to be a budget fix up so i would rather not have to do that.

thanks in advance

Are you venting your bov?

I don't have a picture for vacuum routing, it is in Haynes manual. If you are a newbie, the Haynes manual will pay for itself ten times over. Make sure your vacuum hoses are correct. It makes a big difference.

I just used this link for another thread but I think it fits here as well. This link show a diagram of the vacuum routing on a 2G.

WOW, ok the hose that goes nowhere... is that your PCV hose? Don't panic, look at the valve cover, follow it to the top left corner, you see the nipple coming off of it? Where does that lead to... If you are in fact missing the PCV hose then ya your fucked...
Next, where exactly is the broken wire your speaking off, is it underneath where you pour the rad coolant? Or is it on the actual engine itself attached to a circular looking device? OR is it 1 of 4 wires that runs in front of the engine and down to where the exhaust is?
Let us know.

pcv hose is much larger... this is the standard tiny vacuum hose....

as for the wire... yes ... under the motor, 1 wire... goes into a round thing... what is that?

OK thats causing a vacuum leak which will cause all kinds of lil driveability issues.. As for the wire that sounds like its your knock sensor if im reading what your saying right.
