Hi all,
This car came from British Columbia (NO salt out there!) and was originally owned by my wife’s aunt since it was new. She had it dealer maintained until it was purchased by my wife and I in February 2004, the first winter that it spent out here. Since then, I have done all regular (minor) service and upgrades on it. Other repairs and upgrades were done by Tapp Auto in Ottawa, Ontario.
It currently has about 235,000 kms on the body and I estimate roughly 110,000 kms on this engine (12,000 of which was from me). Oil changes at 4500 kms with Mobil 1 15W50 (summer) 5W30 (winter). GM Synchromesh used in the tranny. The body has been oiled since being in Ontario and so far has only seen 3 winters. The only visible rust is above the bumper on both front fenders.
6 bolt JDM engine installed April 2005 (it has a red Mitsubishi valve cover)
-264 degree regrind cams
-used ACT 2100 clutch (fingers still good)
-New ACT pressure plate
-New Mitsubishi timing belt
-New Mitsubishi tensioner
-New Mitsubishi oil pump
-New Mitsubishi exhaust manifold bolts
-New Mitsubishi multi-layer steel exhaust manifold gasket
-New Taylor wires
-New NGK BPR7ES
(above items done in April 2005 with the engine install)

-RTM Racing machined aluminum shiftknob with carbon fibre insert

-stock Mitsubishi exhaust system (no leaks!)
-Turbosmart manual boost controller
-dual A-pillar gauge pod
-Autometer SportComp -30mmHg/+30 psi
-extra pod ready for new gauge
-Tan leather interior in good condition (some cracks, but no rips)
-Ball joints are in good condition (no cracks or visible wear)
-Aftermarket sunroof with retractable sunshades (removeable glass!)
-Stock Cateye halogen foglights
Now, there are a few problems:
-It burns some oil between shifts, but not at idle.
-The fuel gauge has not worked since I installed the fuel pump. The low gas light always works though.
-Rear right wheel bearing is bad. It is still driveable, but it is slightly wobbly while cruising and is worse when braking. I have priced out a new hub assembly at Part Source for $99.99 (SKS brand). It appears that this is the cheapest option.
-It needs a new windshield. If you have coverage for it, some windshield places will call the insurance company and will also pay your deductible.
-Front right wheel has a slight flat spot in it from hitting a pavement lip that was not marked on an offramp. Subsequently, the right front AGX was warrantied. The left one still works well at level 1 and 2, but it is not as firm as it should be on 3 and 4.
-Needs new parking cables.
-The differential makes the ‘coast down rumble’ noise, but goes away when you load up the driveline.
-Cosmetically, the car is pretty good. There is a slight scuff on the front left bumper and on the rear left bumper. There is a small scratch (1" long and 1/16" wide down to the metal) on the hatchlid, just below the spoiler on the left hand side. There are a series of small dents on the right side of the car from my wife’s uncle’s truck. These are not chips, only small dents.
-The door seal on the driver’s side is loose.
-You cannot open the passenger door with a key, but the power locks still work.
I am asking $2900 because of the relatively rust-free condition of the body and some decent upgrades. I will include some extra parts from the garage as well if you are nice!
