My brakes are in my bad books right now, if I could b*tch slap them I would (it hurts so I had to stop). My rear are all new from about a year ago and they are already sticking, WTF
Seized brakes usually are not apparent until you put new pads or new pads and rotors on. There will be alot of drag on rotor due to the calipers not receiding back in far enough. This could simply be the pins being stuck or the actual piston itself. The pins can be cleaned and re-lubed but if the piston is sticking you need to re-build or get new ones. If your calipers are several years old they more then likely will become seized without re-greasing them. The piston itself may be able to be re-greased but I wouldn't know how without checking the shop manual. Cheers

The rear brakes get exposed to a lot of water, sand, grit and salt. Make sure all the rubber boots are in good condition with no splits or tears. Maybe good idea to replace the boots. I use silcone grease on the slides that won't melt. Also, use your parking brake often. If you don't use it... you'll lose it.
