Does anyone know if it's safe to install Eibach Sportline on Eclipse Spyder?
Those springs are for a GST and the drop is 1.6".
I know the spyder is havier so the drop might be even greater so I'm not sure if I should try installing those springs.

Jack,

I don't think you'll find any springs that are Spyder specific. I'm using B+G GST springs and havn't had any problems.

Just my 2 cents .....

Thanks Mark.
I installed those eibach sportline springs with KYB AGXs and the ride is horrible.
It bounces so badly that I'm thinking of switching to stock suspension.
Now, I wonder why that is hapanning.
I bought the springs and shocks used so they might not be in great shape. However, I bought those parts form fellow DSM members so I don't think they would sell me crap freak

Maybe someone can help explaining what could be wrong.

I'm running B+G springs with Tockio 5 ways and my ride is great. Almost like stock when the springs are on the softest setting - and rock hard when they are set to stiff. Maybe the shocks are shot? KYB's are 8 ways, right?

I went for a ride in Jeff's talon and I think he has the same setup and there was no bouncing at all. Very firm and stiff - too stiff for my liking - thus I went with the Tockio's .....

Check out the shocks - I doubt it's the springs ......

Likely your shocks aren't controlling the springs. They are blown, set far too soft, or just can't handle the spring rate.

I assume you are talking about me. smile

I have the Eibach Prokits, which are less of a drop, and not as stiff as the Sportline springs.

If the ride in a car is "bouncy", that means the springs are "too much" for the shocks, either because the spring rate is too high or the shocks are shot. It's possible the Sportlines are simply too stiff for the AGXs, although this is doubtful and I haven't heard anyone else complain about the combo.

Jack, have you had other lowered cars? You're not just confusing "bouncy" with "harsh", right? smile
