Hey all,

I have been going around inspecting my car for the last few weeks (I mentioned a problem regarding the car a while back). And have came to the concludion that a lot of my bushings and such on the car (control arms / sway bar) and what not need to be replaced. One example is the back passenger side upper control arm (u shape) can literally be moved by a persons hand to hit the sides (and make a metal on metal contact sound).

I don't want to replace the arm's as the balljoints have nothing to do with these problems, but I am having a problem getting these inserts for my vehicle

it's a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse gs-t fwd turbo, i would like to get the bushings for all the control arms and whichever parts "you" guys think I should change.

also would anyone here happen to know a person who can install these for a decent price, i have asked a few shop's and they range from 200 dollars to 1000 dollars for installation stating it can be up to 12 hours of work

let me know guys really appreciate it

Installing all those bushings is a huge job. $200 would be a steal for that work.

I am also in the process of installing these bushings (taking my sweet time, and just waiting on having some metal sleeves pressed out). It *is* a very large job, $200 would definitely be a steal! On a side note, I got all my bushings from Ziggy. Great prices and amazing to deal with (as I'm sure anyone here will attest to!)

Huge job??? Damn, I'll do it for $200, bring them all on! I thought it was one of the easiest things to do really.

Rob, You might want to get in touch with Steve Chepurney. I think he is on this board also. Apparently no-one makes a urethane motor mount insert for the stealth/3000gt, so I made him a set of moulds and he is having them poured, but he wasn't so sure yet about how he was going to install them. I uess you need to get all the old bushing out, and then press the new insert in? Maybe you could work out something to do his for him...

Radim @ Metalex can get urethane bushings for the main suspension parts (also includes motor mounts, and shifter bushings) for around $180 or less (can't remember) and he will install them for a very reasonable rate. Give him a call.

It wont be asap, I got a pile of stuff to finish first. If you have a spare car to drive around, you can bring be the lower control arms and I'll put the new insters in for you at work, but my shop is full for a while.
