I just got my 96 Talon TSi last week and it has the 6 speaker system in it. Just wanted to know how to remove them like what and where do I have to unscrew things and like where are the retainer clips that hold them in. And like what size are the dash speakers. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Actually I have the same question, for the doors you have to remove the whole panels, right? & what about the ones in the dash do the grills just pop out or what?

For the dash you have to remove the lower cover (by your knees), and then you will see the screw holding the upper cover (above the speaker) in place.

Is that for the 1G or the 2G, or are they both the same (mine is a 2G)

This is for 1G, but it's wrong anyhow. I relize today that the only screw holding it in is revealed simply by opening the door.

Yes and yes.
Except that the dash grills come out together with the speakers (it's one piece).
