I assume it’s for a 1994 TSi?? And a 6.5 should fit into this hole. The speaker will have adjustable holes for the screw to go in. Remember when it comes to speakers you get what you pay for.

6.5's YES---- But you do need a customized wood bracket like i had to do for mine... Like 20 dollars nothing big.

i also have some speakers for the rear if you would like to buy??

I'm rockin' infinity reference 5.25"s in there. They are really nice speakers. Mine came with the 6"s from the factory, so I had to fab the mounting points.

A componet set would sound awesome in there too. A 5.25 mid bass with a spererate tweeter would sound huge.

Rockford ones do sound nice, some JBL are alright. I have Cerwin Vega 6.5 with tweet and their amazing, but not sure if there worth the $425 I paid for them. Components are always the way to go. Sound better every time in the front rather than a standard one. JBL have this thing called plus one and it makes them 33% bigger than speaker companies. Bigger equals better responds and bass. A tweeter is directional and if its pointed at you knee your not getting the proper effect. High notes need to be directed at your ears.

Sorry kinda went on their….
Nate

Forgivin!! laugh But i do agree, they must be poited at your ears, these are not mono sounds that bounce around your car like a indian rubber ball! They have to be direct to were your hearing is located wink
