Has anyone had any experience with aftermarket projector beam headlights?

What is the quality like? I read some previous posts that stated the light emitted was not much better, or in some cases, worse, than stock.

There are a whole bunch of these on sale on Ebay, and the price seems relatively reasonable, but I am wondering if they are a worthwhile item to get, or if they just plain suck.

My friend got a set of these for his 96 Talon. (EBay specials)

When were on the 400 heading north to Barrie (no more street lights) we can't see dick all.

Literally following tail lights...

And I thought my stock headlights sucked!

Oh, my friend ended up doing this mod after installing those headlights.

Look at the last picture, pretty good lighting in pitch dark. :]

Everybody that's I've ever talked to said they would rather have the sotck headlights rather than the projectors. The projectors don't give very good lighting. If you were going for looks you could always just paint your Talon headlights(if you have a Talon). If you have an Eclipse I'd just leave them as is, because the Eclipse headlights look best in my opinion.

If you get projectors that use the 9005/9006 style bulbs like the stock headlights do, it will be fine. I have a set of projectors with Silverstar bulbs in them, and with the fog lights I have no problems with visibility.
