You asked for it, you got it.We struck a deal with Kawartha Speedway located 45 mins Northeast of the GTA to run a FREE Drifting practice and an Autocross grip course all for $0. Parking is also free but why would you want to park it, when all you have to do is pass tech and have a valid license to get on track! - Sharpen your drifting skills - Grip or Slip on the AutoX course - Practice the basics on the figure-8 setup - Show of your ride on the infield to the crowds - Test and tune with plenty of room in the pits - Chill out, hit the Casino or just relax in the licensed bar - Watch the mayhem from the enclosed grandstands or restaurant Off the momentum of the House of Drift demo we ran last September, many of you wanted to participate, not watch from the sidelines. Since the owner of the track knows money is tight, he offered the whole track to: drive, hang or just enjoy the rest of what this first class facility has to offer. Brought to you by Spo-Com Media ( www.spo-com.com) and Kawartha Speedway ( www.kawarthaspeedway.com) Drift Free Fridays kicks off May 25 and continues on select Fridays all summer long more info available soon at www.driftfreefridays.com For more information call 416-521-7428 or email info|@|spo-com.com

Yeah swing on by it will be busy, probably 1000 or so already plus the drift crowd. Here is more info: So couple more bytes of info: - site is live, still needs some work but its live. www.driftfreefridays.com - helmets are mandatory on track, SNELL 95 preferred but a decent helmet full or open will be accepted. - there is race gas at the track 104 unleaded 110 leaded up until 8pm confirmed - Closest Sunoco is in Peterborough at 1119 Water Street, there is one on the way in Oshawa at 925 Simcoes Street S. - there are tire changing facilities at the track, up until 8 pm confirmed, $10 per tire. Hopefully we can pursuede them to stay if the business is there for them. - Alex Lee AKA "X-Nobody" will be helping arranging some of the track setup, since he is a seasoned guy, we know it will be fun and challenging. - Tech-in is at 6:30-7:30. now we hear some people have to work and battle traffic, yes some are coming from as far Kitchener! So track an official down and we can get you to tech-in later. - Japanese Imports.ca is also bringing JDM cars for testing also for sale! - Noise curfew is in effect, so hopefully cars coming aren't too loud, leave your pipes connected or the cat in if you were considering taking it out. It should be quieter than a regular race night, so it may get extended even later if things go well. - We are estimating each participant will have over 25 runs if night goes smooth and number of particpants is accurate. - We will have a figure-8 and donut area setup for warm-ups - Tandem will be limited to those drivers displaying utmost control and respect for the track. Scheduled later on during event.

What time is it estimated that this will be running to? (weather permitting of course) I'd love to come see it, but might not be able to make it until later.

Rafael what car was yours, Ryan, Randy and I were there, from about 9-11.
It seemed pretty cool, hopefully bigger turnout for the up and coming ones.

Rafael, is your 240 turbo?
I know there was a black turbo 240 and two white turbo Nissans.
Also kinda fun to see the beemer and the white 240 break. lol
Good times.

EVENT PICS We just uploaded a bunch more pics with ontrack antics of driftryder, enyaw and the red hatch. It takes guts to tackle the banks. As well as the some of the carnage: - blown tire on the FC - delamed tread on the Kouki - local hatch that exploded the bottom end..SR TIME! Great turn out for the short notice over 30 cars some from as far away as K-W, Keswick and Sault St Marie WTF? Next event is in June, turnout will be much bigger and we'll have more track time as we will clear the main lot earlier. See you next round.
