No more launch control

Quote
A bunch of people bought GT-Rs and fried their transmissions using launch control. Said customers then hit Nissan with warranty claims, at which point Nissan took its toy and went home.

There was a recent magazine test where they got pretty equivalent times launching without the Launch Control program. I can certainly understand Nissan getting rid of it, and it seems like customers aren't losing much.

It's still an awesome car, but with LC's failure it definitely takes away from it's cred as a 'Corvette/Ferrari/Porsche' alternative...

I think, with the difference in price point, it's never been considered an "alternative" for them.. Not quite a "poor man's (insert choice here)", but you know what I mean.

I'm sure someone will find a way to add a 2-step..

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Agreed. Was just commenting on the spin they and car mags/shows had put on it 'pre-launch', so-to-speak. wink
