Any word on when the V3 DMSLink will be out? The webpage hasn't changed in a while but I was wondering if there was any word from their forums.
Just watching, wondering...

I just have a hard time dropping that much on what is essentially a USB EEPROM flash programmer ($20 in parts, I can design and make one myself) and some software. A friend was telling me he paid like... $45 or something for one for his Subaru. I mean, sure his WRX is sweet but that doesn't mean he's not a fag for driving it Joking, of course. Back on task, yeah... $600+USD, not to mention getting raped at teh border on duty (I'm assuming) and shipping and tax omg. I'm just pissed because I'll probably end up buying one.

For all the new features they've added, I think the price is more then resonable What feature(s) are you guys excited about? I've been following the discussion about V3 and haven't seen much of interest. Native GM MAF support is a nice to have, but my car runs great on the stock MAS. Memory board is nice but I'm chipped for the correct injector size so this isn't as big a deal to me. Everything else seems kind of ho hum. Am I missing something? For what it's worth I thought the same thing about V2 and was totally incorrect.

The removal of the translator will be nice for alot of people (but like you Jeff, stock 2g MAS is working fine for me (though probably on the edge of overruning it ~ 2800Hz, buts thats easy to fix with the Link)). Also alot of people are looking forward to speed density (though not on initial release), I don't know much about this but may have to check into it.
For me, even though my chip is burned to the defaults to my injectors I still have the global tweeked abit, so yes the car will run but you lose all your tune & settings. Will be nice not to have to worry about this. I think the big thing is that you get direct access to a bunch of the factory maps, so you can get alot more indepth with your tune (load & rpm based), then just adjusting WOT sliders (that are always in effect, when it comes to timing), etc. I believe their going to have default maps that you can upload, for example the evo. So may give better driveability to begin with & allow more fine tuning ontop. Also sounds like the new cable will be much faster & allow more datalogging which will be nice as I do hit the limit sometimes. The user interface looks alot more user friendly/up to date & also like the idea that you can play with tunes offline (for example on your home pc), save them & download them to the car whenever you want.

Some of the feature I am looking forward to are: V3 allows the user to make adjustments to configuration settings and direct access tables without being physically connected to the car....... This allows me to make changes while reviewing logs at home, and also makes helping tune other ppl's cars easier. Adjustability upto 10,000rpms ...... I rev higher then 8K, so this is extremely useful to me! Load based tuning ..... Much like AEM, no longer just setting DT and Global, and WOT fuel sliders. Now we can tune based on load! Earlier versions were great for drag racing(WOT tuning), but V3 will be great for all types of racing. Enhanced datalogging.... The screen shot below shows a capture of over 1000 samples per second! That's over 30 frames of data per second with over 30 individual samples per frame. The more data we have the better we can tune! Narrowband O2 simulation from a wideband O2 input signal (only one ECU input is required for both WB logging and normal closed-loop NB operation)..... no need for 2 sensors anymore! Additional MAF-compensation frequency points.... this allows greater adjustments to really 'dial in' your MAF/MAS Extended VE table for Fake MAF operation..... I'm a firm believer in a well tuned VE table, and this will allow me fine tune the upper RPMs Just a few things that I'm looking forward to with V3
TPG+Meth You can't tune out mechanical problems!!!

MAP sensor. i.e. load based tuning and a bunch more Mike, you need to check out V3, it now has load based tuning for both fuel & timing! & they are planning on adding speed density in the near future. Currently a MAFT is no longer needed either, your GM MAF can plug directly into the ecu. They have made quite a few improvements with the new version but ofcourse you are still going to be limited by a stock ecu in some cases, which is where AEM will have advantages. Edit: I've play around abit with the new software as well & its defently a much nicer setup. I really like the new scolling & zooming in/out feature with just using the right mouse button & mouse direction. Makes navagative logs much quicker
