Hey guys , hope for some input.... I'm doing the famous eclipse front end conversion on my 95 TSi. I'm wondering how much work is involved ??? Like is it a easy swap??? I bought the lights and have the front bumper , both are 97-99 models. My FMIC is 37" long / 12" high , will the bumper fit??? And will my side panels on my 95 match up with my 97-99 bumper??? Also the lights will they swap in or is there alot of wiring to get them to fit and work ??? So in total will the 97-99 conversion easy on 95 TSi or is there alot of red tape??? Thanks for read smile

The reason I'm doing it is not for looks as my front bumper is damaged and I'm looking to fix it , so while I'm fixing it minus well upgrade , that's the reason why I'm doing so ...

It's all the same (fenders and hood). It will all bolt up.
You might need to trim the bumper to fit your FMIC.

I had it done on my 96 until I decided to put a 97-98 Talon bumper on the car.

It's all plug and play. The headlights will bolt in, and the connectors will pop on. The fenders match up, and those bolts line up. Like Anthony said, you MIGHT have to trim your FMIC but that should be all.

This is my 96 Talon w/ 2gb front end:

Jay, As long as you have 97-99 headlights AND bumpers your good for the swap. 95-96 headlights won't align right with the 97-99 bumper

Figured it out lol , but ya , I purchesed this OEM Bumper and when talking to my buddy he couldnt tell me if it was 2Ga or 2Gb, which is retarded :S , now im seeing if somebody with expeirnce can make out the difference , cause I have 97-99 OEM Replacments headlights from Ziggy but there replacement not real OEM and I'm hoping this is the right bumper for them to fight properly ..... Im hoping somebody will know the difference.

I'm getting a complete body restoration done by a body shop and these guys arn't familiar with DSM , like they do custom Hot Rods , but this will be there first DSM and I want to make it easy with no hassles , if anybody was wondering why I haven't just placed them on and found out my self , plus my ride is still in storage.

Thanks Bryan , I just got off the phone with the dealership , we discussed my problem and I had a part number on the back and we figured out that this one is the 2gb , but the guys there didn't even know those catogories existed, for future reference .... They go by 94-96 and then 96-99 and I had part # MR296443 which was the end of 96 , so for manufacturing it was the the new line up for 97-99 .... Meaning 2gb But in the system it's still under 96-99 .... If that makes any sense lol :S .... Thanks reading laugh

It will fit. Everything is just straight bold on. No need to modify anything.

Like Deep said, it will fit. All 2g side marker lights are the same. 2ga and 2gb Talon, as well as 2ga and 2gb eclipse.
