I would like to change my heat shield in my talon because its all rotten and looks like crap.
Would anybody here , have any ideas as to what i could replace it with that will stand up to the heat better.

Just get another one from the dealer and replace with a stock one.
Realize the heat shield you have is over 10 years old.
If you don't want to go with a stock replacement people have custom fabricated one from other metals.
You pretty much fab up a cover out of cardboard as a template to get it to the size/shape you want and then transfer it out to metal and have it welded together.
easiest option is to go with a stock replacement though.
Possibly PPG can post a pic of the one he has on his car.

some either stainless or aluminum diamond plate looks good. I've seen a few made from it before, and will be making one myself come spring when I have more time.

www.jmfabrications.com sells a nice heat shield...it's only like 50 bucks, I have one and it's a very nice piece.
