Let me guess. You want to use the free logger. I know you pain as odbii seems to be the cash cow for logger companies as no one can find a cheap cable for it.

"Sometimes pre-OBD cars (such as 1G DSMs) are referred to as OBD-I cars. This is not accurate, since they use the ALDL interface. 1995 cars might be OBD-I rather than OBD-II, but since most OBD tools support both I and II the difference is usually not important."

Same sh*t, you know what I mean. wink

'95 was their first crack at an OBD implementation, even though it wasn't required until '96. I expect the reason the '95s had EPROM ECUs is because they were expecting there to be a few bugs and they'd flash them later.

Indeed there were bugs, the '95 ECUs report that their CEL light is on, even when they're not. This can be a problem if you've got a '95 ECU in your '96+ car and you go for an emissions test. Fortunately DSMLink V2 fixed this bug, and reports the actual status of the CEL. Yet another reason why DSMLink rocks (I just got V2 in the mail! laugh )
