what do you guys think about it? is it worth 275$ (from Mach V), is anyone here currently using one? opinions?

"Buschur Racing, creators of the famous 7-second drag Talon, produces this beautiful regulator and adapter kit. What you get is an SX aerospace-quality fuel pressure regulator -- widely praised as the best in the business -- plus a custom billet aluminum CNC-machined adapter so it can bolt directly to your factory fuel rail. That's right, no machining or custom pipe fittings necessary. To top it off, you get a fuel pressure gauge for the top of your fuel filter so you can easily figure out the idle fuel pressure while adjusting it.

Fits all 90-94 Eclipse/Talon/Laser turbo; fits 95-99 Eclipse/Talon turbo if you use a 90-94 fuel rail. Kit includes SX regulator, billet adapter, fuel pressure gauge, and all needed fittings. "

Nop that is NOT worth it. Considering you can pickup the -10 aeromotive for $130 or the -6 one for $120usd new. A guage is $10 and AN 10 block off is $5 and reducer about $15.

Ive got the -10 one.

Paid $130usd for it brand new.

The good thing about the buschur fpr is that it bolts up to the fuel rail, it is a little pricey but hey... its a bolt-on. You dont have to fiddle around with fuel rail fittings and extra lines.

One more option is the ChargedAir / Spoolinup / Fullthrottle FPR. It is also a bolt-on and it is significantly cheaper than $275.

I use the 1G version (on a 1G rail in my 2G) and it works very well for me.

One other note: when looking at any of these options, make sure you have some way of installing a gauge so that you can actually measure and properly adjust what your FP is. ponder

The options that Victor and I mentioned don't include that in the price, but the Buschur one does.

The cheap mechanical gauges that install on top of the filter (like the one in the Buschur kit) can always be used, but they aren't as useful because you can't see it while you're in boost to verify that the fuel pressure is going up 1:1 with the boost pressure.

I would recommend a liquid filled gauge for under the hood.
The air gauges, though most accurate, tend to fall apart after being subjected to vibrations.
This is especially bad when mounted to a bolt-on AFPR. When the gauge explodes you will end up with fuel on your coil pack eek Not the best place for a fuel leak!

I use a Russell gauge (they're about $60), and have it on a couple feet of steel braided hose so that the gauge can be positioned out of the hood while driving when need be.

Keep in mind that as the gauge is heated under the hood, it will read low by up to 6psi.

I have a russell liquid filled guage as well for my FPR setup. Works good and seems to be holding up so far.

I had bought an air filled one before and it died pretty quickly. My friend had the same problem with his civic as well.

Well after looking around some more at prices, FIC's kit can't be beat. For under a lil under $290cnd to your door your getting an Aeromotive afpr, liquid-filled gauge, fuel rail adapter, all the fittings, and 2' of some really nice high-pressure hose. But if you don't want to deal from the states, Ziggy's the man to see.
