hey i just bought my first turbo dsm, its 95gst with a 6 bolt swap, drove fine for the first few days but now it wont start,i started it reved it a few times it bogged out and now it wont start, its turning but just not fireing, after trying to start it a few times you can smell heavy gas, also to note it failed the etest miserably in every category, my o2 sensor isnt hooked up so i know it is running a little rich but i dont think that alone could have made it fail so badly, anyways i dont know too much about these cars im trying to read alot but my last dsm was a n/t eclipse rs, so im having some problems trouble shooting, anyways i want to know if anybody lives in the area knows any good shops i could take it to, i live in Acton, work in guelph, anything would be helpful thanks

Why is your 02 unhooked? That would cause the failure I would say. (etest)

A long shot, but possibly because of this, you ran so rich you have fouled all your plugs?

Not such a long shot pending on how long the o2 has been unplugged.

Check your plugs isn't a bad place to start.

How far as acton from k/w?

Check for spark.

How long has it been run without the O2 sensor?
Compression test!

And please, put some effort into making your posts something other than one big block of text.

Besides at this point Kendell, having a turbo has nearly nothing to do with it not starting unless it's absolutely seized. And even then I'd think it would try starting. (:

just by chance... does it seem to be turnign over a bit faster then usual???As if there is no spark plugs in it.
Anyone who has had a T belt break, strip or jump knows what I am talking about.
Just a thought. it would still get fuel. And maybe fire if it simply jumped.

Everythings new. Updates will be soon.

Just an idea, can't hurt to try at this point, but check for codes, see if the ECU has popped out anything. Then, disconnect the battery for about a min (both posts) and allow the ECU to reset. If you're O2 sensor was unplugged, resetting the ECU may not be a bad idea.

What about checking plug wires. If you see burnt pin-holes near the base of the wire, it could be due to arching out.

Alright im pretty sure after trying everything else my problem is with my starter,

What is my best route of attack on this thing, i figured going underneath,

but i got underneath and it seemed in an awkward place to get it from down there, on the other hand it doesnt seem any easier, from up top

Im not to mechanically inclined but im trying, and im also broke after buying this money pit, so i cant afford a mecahnic right now

All you have to do is remove the battery, and the starter coems out easy.
