Hey now Steve, has it really come to this?

PPG is the second person you've had to threaten with sabotage. Is it really that bad that your only hope is to sabotage your competition? cry

AWD boys win fair and square, we don’t have to resort to cheap tricks wink

Well, you, I'm not worried about, Vince.. laugh

However, if PPG can keep up to me with a blown HG, then he MAY be able to pass me once it's fixed.. As long as he doesn't poop his pants once we get up to speed....

I know eh Vince...
he says "oh I'll come and help you do that mod..."

little do I know he is out to sabotage my car so he can feel faster.

It all makes sense now...

Yea I know, he offered to help me rebuild my motor if something happens to it....I'm thinking what a nice guy. Then he adds "I'll make sure you never beat me to the end of the 1/4mile again"

Steve, as I sit you would definately take me on the highway...but I bet with the welded viscous coupling and without the extra weight of the drive shaft and x-fer case. I can make up that 2mph you have on me wink . I'll have to stop by your house while I'm on my way to the dyno smile

Now is there an easy way to swap in FWD gears?

Bah.... lemme drop my exhaust, Honduh-style, and we'll see what happens to my 108mph..

I just realized: Between PPG's headgasket, and Vince's boost creep, I don't need to sabotage anything.. you guys do fine on your own!!

... or are they just the excuses I keep hearing?? tongue

If you remember correctly when we lined up at the track I still had my STOCK 1.75" exhaust on the car wink And I still beat you.

But unfortunately for you going from 2.5 to no exhaust isn't going to net as much of a gain as going from 1.75 to no exhaust.

Now I have a full 3" exhaust with a soon to be vented WG....so as usual mine is bigger than yours tongue

More whining, and excuses, that's what's going to happen...

"Oh... I've still got boost creep..." "Oh, well, I think I've blown another headgasket.." Nothing new..

Oh, Vince.. you just don't get it do you?? (sigh...) If you'll recall I ran that pass with a leaking injector, and 20% too rich on my SAFC settings.. STILL got 108MPH..

Wheelspin, WAS the problem.. remember?? Probably not, because you didn't see any of it when I wupped your ass at the Grimsby 1/8th.. laugh

LOL.. A winter beater!!! I'd LOVE to see that!!

2 Stage MBC: Ya, damn this thing works GREAT! 12 psi in 1st/2nd, and 20 in 3rd/4th/5th. (You can set them to whatever you want though..)

Maybe you should ask Vince how well it works..

It doesn't do much for the rain, though.. I STILL hate the rain...

GEEZUS!! Post 1 good thing about somebody in this thread, and it dies...

What's the matter, don't know how to handle a compliment?

OK, fine. How about the fact that my crankwalked Talon kept ahead of your blown headgasketed Laser?? Doesn't surprise me with you driving your car...

You seemed to do pretty good in mine, though....

Vince, what Steve is saying is that his clutch adjusting abilities are poor at best...He calls it clutch walk, I call it his car's way of saying "uncle".

His crank ain't the only thing getting walked around here...

and no I didn't help with the clutch install smile

Now we both have problems we need to fix...there goes a couple of weekends frown

no wonder our wives hate our cars cry

LOL.. well, I'm not really calling it "crankwalk".. not in the sense most people think of it, anyway.. my thrust bearing is worn out of spec. (OH BOY is it worn.. .033"!!)

So, it's time to do something about it..

Excuses?? I don't need excuses when I'm seeing you in my mirrors...

Steve, that's not too bad at all for crank play, you can go to 8 thousanths. You have over half of your thrust bearing left. If you drop the oil pan, you will see a slight groove on it, nothing to worry about yet. I bet you have around 160-180K on the car by now???

I wish you were right. 8 thousandths is .008" of play.. I've got.033" (A little over four times the limit..:-) )

Actually, I've got about 280 000kms on the car...

I was going to pull the oil pan and look around, but with that much play.. why bother??

...sigh... nobody wants to race me huh??

I suggest a couple rematches with the grudgeboys here, and what do I get....

"No.. I'll just lose more coolant.. I've already lost enough because of you!!".. Wah.. Wah.. Wah..

And:

"Oh, looks like you lucked out this time.. I'm getting crazy knock, and I don't know why.." (At least he's not still whining about boost creep) Wah.. Wah.. Wah..

Gentlemen: I've got .036" of crank endplay. You don't here me whining do you? Nope.. I'm ready to go. If you can't give me a race, PLEASE, at least stop giving me excuses.

Muahahaha!

I share a bit of my troubles with you and look what you do with it. You exploit my heartache for your personal amusement.

If I had a new engine on it's way I wouldn't worry about boost creep, crank walk or the fact that I am seeing more knock than my car has HP.

I guess I do sound like a whining bitch....so I will say as the rice boyz say... "Just wait till this summer" bitch

Typical FWD mentality...."I'll beat them while their wounded since that's the only way I can win." cry

You got it. 1 bottle of coolant.. (I'll even pre-mix it so you don't get confused mixing it 50/50)

Vince, if you EVER get your car running right again, I'll race you. You just keep going from excuse to excuse though, so how ELSE am I supposed to race you except when your car's broken?? It's ALWAYS broken.. (so you seem to say.. anyway.. laugh )
