The fact that the goose is alive and beautiful The "Goose" I assume is Andrew's car. AKA "Mongoose" I believe it is at least driving again. I doubt it is "finished" I don't think and DSM is ever done. And as for this thread catching Waldo's, check when this thread started. It kills in the "longjevity" factor. But his is a trash-talking thread. and I can't make fun of anyone cuz well when they have been getting faster I've been replacing engines. Hmm maybe we can have a DSM tug-o-war. anyone slower that a 13.5 that I can make fun of?

Don't know if it's "finished", but it sure looks nice!! I was thinking Andrew might have brought it out to Yorkdale today, and thought PPG might be there to get some pats on the back..

Well, it's sort of done. Or was. Most things I wanted to do, are done, and it was back on the road. Was. Stupid POS fuel pressure gauge on the SX FPR, blew apart at the end of a pass. Sprayed 112 octane everywhere, made a mess. I'm lucky the car didn't catch on fire. Stupid POS gauge... I put a call in to Buschur, to warn him to stop selling them with the SX. Anyhow, I couldn't come today, because it now also has a massive exhaust leak. I suspect, that my required immediate shutdown because of the fuel, left the manifold and turbo exhaust housing too hot, and they have warped. Pisses me off. Drove it two days, and now it's off the road indefinitely again. F@cking car. It was going so nicely too... just got the boost controller set up, was adjusting air/fuel, dropping a tenth in the 1/4, with each pass... -sigh- f#cking car...

Hey you put a LOT of work into it.....a new gauge and an exhaust leak doesn't sound that bad...If it is just some warpage, and if can figure out how to hold it, I know someone who does machining

I think it's cost you the amount of my mortgage so far. Remember last time you started adding it up? Remember how long ago that was? Remember how much you've spent since then?
Ghetto may be slower (for now) but I'm one turbo away from whooping your ass.
(Anyone got a 20G I can borrow??)
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Living with a DSM is almost like living with an Alfa Romeo. Piece of unreliable crap, but when you have a nice day and it (finally) decides to work well, its heaven on earth (I can never forget the exhaust note). I've lived with an Alfa for a good part of a year, so having a DSM is almost a honeymoon....despite what other ppl might say about it. ..I still think Mark spent more than a 977...really. Factor in inflation and such.......

SLOW? SLOW? You guys abuse me for FOUR GODDAMN years saying I am a sh!tty driver this and blah blah that. I finally runs some solid 11's and now it's that I spent too much? I've got about $20,000 worth of mods. That might seem like a lot BUT! I've had the car 13 years. Thats about $1500 a year in mods. Can any of you say you HAVEN'T spent about that much every year on mods? Christ Dennis, you've spent OVER $100,000 on a car. I may be in deep, but holy cow!! It don't matter I'll kick your ass at a round track too, not just the straight kind

That pet is too integrated for my liking, and it doesn't do colour! Plus, you don't have to type the program out before you run it. And, you could use tapes with it but that's cheating Anyhow, you guys are gonna piss the oldtimers off with all this off-topic in their check check thread. If you don't think your hardware can beat in the 1/4, they don't wanna hear about it

Usher, one of the requirement's to be able to post in this thread is having a DSM that run's. No go back out to the garage and break some more bolt's on your HomeDepot orange podercoated suspension. You should take Andy B as an anti-role model, once powdercoatitis hit's it's about 4 year's before the car get's running. Oh but he had a 2g and was able to remove part's without braking them. The one good thing is bu the time you get the car running you won't hve to worry about an E-test or anything like that, I think after 20 year's or so you don't need one, maybe you can get some of those historic vehicle plate's as well.
