Hey Guys,
Just thought i'd run this by some people and see if they were interested. A company in Scarborough called Teknotik has their OEM carbon fiber hoods on sale for $550 or if bought 5 or more its $490 and so on. Just thought i'd put a feeler up and get some response and see if anyone knows more about the company. I've seen the hood and its of good quality. I know that people have done group buys before on hoods and didn't have luck and people get screwed over and so on and so forth but I just thought i'd post it to let everyone know. They are on untill the end of November to so there is a little bit of time. If 5 or so local people would like to get it on it and meet there a certain day and do it like that then that's another thought. Thanks,

Nick and Eric run a mainly honda shop. They're awesome guys and I can vouch for their shop.
I doubt they'll have Talon hoods.

If we actually get this group buy rolling you can count me in for a 02-04 RSX hood.

Are these hoods 100% Carbon fiber, or do they have the typical "filler" layer of fiberglass?
I would be interested (depending on the money situation) if they are 100% carbon fiber hoods smile

ok sorry about that Chris. I will call again Monday and see if I can "influance" them to get the 1g. I plan on giving people enough time to make a decision, like a said they are on untill the end of November. I will ask how long the wait would be when I call on Monday and how many they have in stock.

Tell them to pay GST and I'm in. I can get a hood for 560 taxes in already.

Don't want to sound like a bitch. But we'd have to pay $70 on taxes.

Ask if there are Cash deals

Obvioulsy i've already asked if there are cash deals. I'm sorry but i'm doing what I can and trying to get the best price. If you can get a better deal or a hood already for $560 then by all means go ahead. I'd be curious to know from where and why havent you tossed the word around and let other people know about it. I'd love to go to McDonalds and be like "I'll take the Big Mac meal but only if you hold the tax and throw in the fries". I get what your saying about the taxes and everybody wants to save money but even ask Ziggy, he has to charge tax on everything also, sometimes you cant get around it.

Ken - only because I can answer your question about the other source...

There ia a carbon fibre company in Hamilton, that already has all of the DSM hood patterns made, and moulded, so I'm sure that's who they're referring to.

Anyone interested in a 1g hatch or 2g hatch? I think they also make hoods. Its from www.gtfabrications.com?

Take a look.
