Just shopping around for summer tires and bump onto these.
Any idea how these are? They are supposely rahter new and the tread looks pretty aggresive. These are rated as Summer performance tires.
Found them at Tiretrends.com (canadian company) for $94ea for 225/50/15 and $106ea for 215/55/15. I will probably get the 215 since its a better fit for my Galant...although I might consider the 225 since its cheaper.
for the 225s, they come up to $442 including taxes and shipping. I think its dirt cheap but jsut wondering if anyone here has any opinions on them.

I have never had these tires so my opinion is only based on reviews I have read.
The Tire Rack has a good set of reviews and sometimes head to head comparisons, I would check there.
From everything I have read these are great tires for the price. The key being that they are very good but there are better tires out there. The overall impression that I get is that they work great in the rain and provide good road holding abilities. Now I have heard they can be noisy and sometimes will squeal during hard cornering. But again for the price they can't be beat.
Like I said I have never had these so see what everyone else has to say. Cheers,

Thanks Matt.
But I think you were refering to the 712s. I'm not sure I've seen many ppl with the 711

Sounds like a good deal to me... I paid 400 taxes in/installed for CT Predators 215/55/16 when they were on sale for buy one get the second half price. Those tires are probably much better, the Predators are the worst handling tire I have ever had. You wouldn't think a low profile 16" tire could have so much sidewall flex but hoo-boy. Can't wait to buy ANY other brand. I'll Probably go with the Dunlops that CT has on sale every now and then, but they're still pricey at 135 apiece on sale...

Yo,
Really great tires. I am riding on Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 7s on 17"ers. I am not sure if those are the ones you are talking about (probably not) but these Kuhmos are great. They run for a little more thatn that but these tires are awesome.

Thanks for the feedback Tim.
The 711 is still on Kumho's website. And I still think Kumho still markets them in different segments of the "performance tire" market.
The 712 caters to the higher performance low-ultra low profile and W-ZR speed ratings while the 711 is only HR rated. And yes, they do cost about the same, the 712 being 10bux more/tire. I can't find 712s in suitable size for my car though.
But for the price (711 or 712 may it be), it's rather decent. Something definately on my shopping list come spring.
