Ok, this may be a stupid question but after searching through my shop manuals and doing a search on the UBB I still can't figure out what I'm missing.

How do you get the rear rims off?

I took off the front rims no problem, get to the back two, take off all the lugs but the damm things won't come off now. Am I missing something here, is there some kind of trick to this part, did I miss that one crucial 5 minute lesson in high school shop class?

Thank you
Gary

Take a hammer and hit the rim from the inside. They get stuck to the hub from corrosion, dirt, or mabey they havent been off in a long time. This is very common, I do it at work all the time.

i strongly suggest that you DO NOTTTT hit the rim with hammer.

you will bend or score it.
This should be obvious anyways.

Rubber mallet could be used.

MAKE SURE THE CAR IS SECURE.

slide under the car from behind, swing your leg and hit the tire with behind your foot. try to have a big impact on it. Use your stronger leg(right in my case),

move it away from the tim right under the car and swing it fast.

you got the idea?!

you have to use some Karate basically.

Usually a rubber mallet isnt enough, and the car is 5 feet in the air so im not going to kick it off. You use the hammer with common sense.

Put some anti-seize compound on it before you put the rim back on and you won't have that problem next time.

Other tricks for future reference: loosen the lugs but don't remove them, then drop the car back to the ground and the weight will loosen the wheel for you, or drive it a couple of feet and slam on the brakes.
