How are your tires?

Reason I ask is that when I bought my car, the tires were almost bald and the car would shake at highway speeds. When I got new tires, balanced and installed, it stopped. It won't rattle because the tires are bald, but because they are out of balance. Go have them checked.

Alex and I just traded rims and the rims I gave him are balenced perfectly. There was never ANY shaking or vibration when I had them on my car, EVER. I think his control arm bushings are shot and with the bigger rim and lower profile tire, he feels the damage a lot more because there is less play and forgiveness with the less amount of rubber. Or it could also be tie rod ends.

I should have gave the wheels a shake or two while swapping tires to see whats up, but with the snow and all, kind of just wanted to get the things on there fast.

Is the recall on your ball joints done?!

are they fine?!

Are you brakes fine? no shaking when braking, no pedal vibration?!

is there any free play in the steering?
Get the car on jack and check for plays
Are your wheels aligned?!

Magnus a few months ago checked the vehicle , and said there was a lot of problems with the front , but i dont know how beleiable it was because they came up with a 1500 dollar bill..

The rotors / brakes did vibrate .. but right now how its working is as soon as i give gas in 5th gear after 2600 rpm it just shakes unreal / makes terrible noise in the front end ...

could be a possibility the rims / tires are having an issue / or I damaged a rim with a pothole, however I cant see any problems with it

as for the recalls im not sure if i had it done , if it was done with the previous owner i would have to say its bull**** because it has been bad for a while

street / city driving is fine , but as soon as i go over a speed its horrendous

Don't forget the CV joints. I had very similar experiences with both my Jeep and the old Laser. And that's what it turned out to be in both cases.

Good Luck

Cheers Tony
