better tires (although it might not be a mod)
muffler..makes my car sound like it has some balls (although it doesn't really help much in the power department)

'95 pistons in my 1G, but I may be biased. Other than that, I'd say exhaust.

Troy, can I ask why you would put 2G pistons in your 1G? Wouldn't that just hurt your top-end, unless you were running a really big turbo?? As for which mods I like the best, I would have to say all of them

Exhaust work, no doubt. Then a boost controller to pump up the turbo power. This is where all the power lies. ------------------ 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD BOOSTN on the flatlands

I do like power(mbc/exhaust), but the best mods I'd have to say are the three shifter mods.

Duct tape on my leather seats. Oh...you said "kick in the pants", not "stick to the pants". Well, I do actually have tape stuck on my seats. Much better than the big holes. Anyway, I imagine the best mods are mine (when I get them done) because of their low expense (some came with the car, but not installed): K&N filter MAF mod (pulled silencer, hacked can) HKS pop-off valve (don't ask) MBC Ported manifold & 14B turbo Gutted cat Ractive muffler Gauges +other free/very cheap mods (knock LED, etc) All together around $500 in cost, and should put me around 250hp, so I'd say that's a kick in the pants for low $$$. ------------------ 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWDBone Stock mzeppier@apotex.com

Again, upgrading to a bigger turbo. 20G in my case. At 12 psi it feels like it pulls harder than my 14B at 20. I have yet to run it at the track yet, though. ------------------ Darin Chalifoux, Resident Fat Guy. 1992 Plymouth Laser RS AWD ICQ 6709375

Why would it hurt the top end? What it does is raises your compression level, which gives you more 'power' without the turbo. Of course, with 1G pistons you can just turn up the boost a bit more to compensate. (: You'd hit detonation a bit sooner with higher boost and pump gas with the 2G pistons.
I don't drive into my turbo much, so I like the bottom-end torque increase when I'm just putting around...

Full 2.5 exhaust was the best damn thing I've ever done, hand down, no contest to anything else.
