Well, I can't turn it down any farther. the screw is not even contacting the top ball bearing, and I still get 17psi. And creep after that. I cannot floor the car, only part throttle. But my wastegate actuator works fine, when I put a hose directly to it from the turbo nipple. Only when I put the MBC in there. Any thoughts Vladimir?? It is one of yours. Been doing this for a month or so. Adjusted it fine at first, and no problems, but now way too much, and I cannot set it lower. Not a knock on the Busta Boost controller at all, I just wanna go WOT sometimes

thanx, I will check on the pipes and fittings.
I may drill em out, and see if the extra flow will be beneficial.

I had the same problem with the Busta BC. The spring is actually really stiff (at least the one I got) and you barely need any pressure on it from the screw.
What you do is you set it so what you barely feel the screw touching the spring, don't even TRY to feel pressure on it. After that you finetune the boost with VERY TINY adjustments on the screw. Maybe even without loosening the lock nut. It's hit and miss but I got my 15psi after two tries.
Also, Vlad says to hook it up to the turbo outlet elbow, but I got a pretty bad boost spike that way. Hook it up to the BOV line like most people suggest, you won't have any problems.

well, I haven't taken the hose off that goes to the wastegate acutator, but I took the other one off and took the unit apart in my basement. Different spring(stiffer this time), made sure the balls were in the right spots, made sure it was hooked up properly. Then I got is so that the screw is not even touching the top ball, and still over 17psi, and creep to over 20 I'm sure if I held it floored!! GaHH! what do I do?? PS,Tripod does'nt like your pic apparently And thanx for the help. I do need more tho Probably just me, it seems that sh!t like this always happens to my stuff. Inexplicalby wierd.

Vlad - I finally installed the controller I bought from you a few months ago. (Took my sweet time.) I gotta tell you, the instructions you have should be updated. I finally got it working, but only after going to various other sites and collecting the information together.
It works great. I have it set to get as much as 15 3/4 PSI, which may be slightly more than I should be running, but it seems to work ok and nothing appears to be amiss. (Yet)
I do notice one thing you guys may be able to help me with.... when I have no boost at all, then I step on it, it boosts up to 15+. But if I upshift really quick, and maintain some boost, then I can only boost up to around 11-12.... and it slowly loses boost if I maintain the same speed. If I then release the gas, till there is no boost again, and step on it, it boosts right up to the proper level. Is this a leak of some sort?

Guys (John), if the wastegate is opening fine, and the mbc is letting all the pressure though (ie screw not touching spring), the boost should be limited to the wastegate setting which is like 9psi. What I did to set my mbc is take off the hose going to the waste gate, take off the hose going to the bov (it's the best signal line to use), which is the one inline with the screw. Make sure you don't have it hooked up backwards Now blow through this signal line. You should be able to blow through it. If you can't, keep loosening the screw until you can blow through it easily. Now plug the wastegate line and the little bleeder hole with your fingers and blow (practice makes perfect ). You shouldn't have any leakage. If you backed the screw out too much and you're getting a lot of leakage around it you might get boost control problems, so that shouldn't leak. Oh, and if you took the screw out completely, what were you thinking?? (Jeff... ) Now this is the baseline setting. The car should run 9psi. Test it. SHOULDN'T be 17psi. Then turn the screw in by the tiniest increments and keep testing till you get the boost you want. The bbc is really sensitive so you make minute adjustments. Has to work. If you think you have problems elsewhere than the mbc, connect the wastegate directly to the turbo outlet nipple (or the bov line) and make sure you get normal boost control of 9psi. I dunno what else to say, this shouldn't be so complicated...

Your right, it shouldn't be I will see what happens here in a day or 2. Right now the car has the valve cover gasket off, as I am painting it (Bright red, with polished metal lettering, cleared over, all high heat) and it took a while getting the thing prepped. Got the first coat on today, have to sand it, and more paint, sand, paint etc etc. But I will tell ya all what happens with the boooooooost control problem. Oh, and kudos to Vlad, he sent me another controller, free of charge Nice guy, and lots of businesses should take note.

Took it for a run last nite, was wet and getting dark, and I had just put it all back togeather, so I only got on it hard for a bit. Seems like I can adjust it down to 11 psi or so, so now I just have to get it set properly All should be good. Thanx again Vlad
