Something to pass the slow winter days... Let me explain, doesn't have to be a DSM just post a picture of your first car and a short description. If you don't have a picture, borrow a similar one off the net. Here’s a hosting link: http://tinypic.com/ I will start... *1989 Peugeot 406 Mi16 *155 bhp, 4 disc brakes, *Four door, power everything, electric moon roof, *leather/heated seats. Peugeot make great cars, too bad they don't sell them in America anymore. By far the most comfortable car I’ve ever sat in. Mine was Metallic Grey...

1987 Dodge Omni 2.2l 5sp 140 in third, 2 clutches in 2 years. Did it do smoke shows? Indeed with the aid of tranny fluid. I will never own a black car after that car.

98 Eagle talon AWD TSI....
I drove my mom's old van until i could pay for my car. The van was too crappy to have made it on pimp my ride. Missing window, wouldn't shift passed 3rd, no reverse, smoked alot...we just spray painted it a different colour every week. I don't have the cables to link pics off my cell phone but my dad and i got a beauty shot of us blowing the engine and ripping the tires off the van the day before i got my TSI hehe

My first car was a '57 chevy, inline 6, 3 in the tree. I paid $95. for it, had it about 6 months, and then lost a wheel coming down a steep hill. I guess I should have fixed the front end ??? I bought quite a few cars under $100 in those days. I think the cheapest car I ever bought was a '61 pontiac for $37.50. It was worth more, but the guy was only asking $40., and I just couldn't bring myself to pay asking price, that just wasn't done in those days. It used to be cheaper, instead of fixing a car, just buy another junker! There were no safety checks in those days!

On dial-up and don't have all day to put up a pic but my first was an '86 Mustang 3.3L Auto. Bought it for 150 bucks. Had rust holes the size of my fist. Engine barely ran. Was going to be a project car but kinda wore off it's charm on me. So me and some buddies took 'er for a rip on some back 4-wheeler trails and destroyed it. Blew first out the bottom doing a brake torque, slammed it into bushes... and I layed on the roof as my buddy dragged it home with a rope through the windows hooked to a Bombardier 4-wheeler. Good times

Once more, I think the 405 is one of the best cars ever produced. I could not agree more.

My first car was an '84 Camaro V6 (carb) with a mind-blowing 107bhp and 700r4 auto tranny. Bought it when I was 17 if I remember correctly for a $100 off a friend of the family who inherited it from somebody who left the country. When purchased it had about 100K km on the odometer, the passanger door was dented, the passanger window was broken and the front seats had been stolen. It sat in an underground garage for 3 years. I went with a buddy to pick it up, gave it a boost and drove it home while sitting on the spare tire. I bought it in the winter, fixed it up in the spring and had it on the road in the summer. Many good times were had with this ride, and it served me through the rest of high school and university (virtually problem free). Once I got my second car on the road, I sold this one to a guy from Woodstock, ON for $300. Who knows it might still be on the road. Here it is in all its glory:

5 speed Honda Accord LX. Very reliable car, and handled amazing when it was lowered. Once I decided to test drive a 95 2G automatic (yeah I know) just to see what it was like, I knew the 130HP Accord was just too slow. After buying the atuo 2G, didn't take long to sell that and buy a manual 2G (which also made the auto 2G feel slow)

My first car was an 89' Dodge Colt Turbo, 1.6L SOHC, 124 hp or so. Put a 2.5" exhaust on it and that was about it. Nathan Welch bought it off me this summer. Hated to see it go but talons are much sexier. This isnt the exact car but same colour and year.

Not worth a picture, but my first car in '92 was a '88 Cavalier RS coupe. Automatic, 4 cylinder. My father could outrun it with his '93 diesel pickup truck...
Doesn't get much worse than that for performance, but I must say it drove nice and didn't have that 'nothing around you' feel you get from a Civic. Repair parts were a dime a dozen and it just wouldn't stop running...
