Hey,

I was wondering if someone could give me a part number for the OEM 2 pc mitsubishi snap on wire harness. ( the harness I am talking about lets me plug into the original factory harness, this way I don't have to cut off the factory harness and splice the original wires. Also why in all of the Vfaq's I have read - annoy they only show 2 factory harness's going into the radio, I have three that plug into the back of the factory radio???? (I have the radio/cd option single DIN)

Any help would be great Thank You!!!!!

I bought a universal harness for Japanese cars from Canadian Tire but It does not have the connectors for the negative wire for the speakers, however there are some pins not used in the harness so I took those extra pins out of the connector and made another "harness" (4 wires) for the negative wires to the factory harness.
This is applicable for 1G cars, do you have a 1G?

I hope this helps. smile

BTW. the harness is just 10 bucks.

go to future shop or best buy....i'm an installer and the harness is only 14.99 i think. Well it is at best buy anyway.
Part Number is 70-1743 - CHRY/PLYM/DODGE/MITS. IMPORTS 1987-94 - INTO CAR
and that will have both harnesses..don't cut your factory one if you don't have too, you'll thank yourself later.
Nate
hope this helps

I just put in a new radio in my 1G. I used the wiring diagram here http://www.vfaq.com/mods/wiring-1genplug.html
and used splice blocks to connect everything. tu The original plugs are still there, no need to cut anything and I could put back the stock deck if I ever sell the car (won't happen!)

cheers.

Hey man, you don't need to cut your wires at all ! You only need to go to Radio Shack and buy some "special connectors"... You snap it in the middle of your original wire and at the end of your new one, you close the top and that's it ! It worths about 4 bucks for 10... and when you want your original wiring back, you remove it without any dammage, except a tiny cut on the plastic of your wire... The connectors are blue....
