Hello.

I ordered a 97/98 Talon Bumper Cover and a 1997/99 Eclipse Bumper Cover came instead. I don't have to buy the thing but I asked them to keep it for a few days till I figure out if I could put it on with the Talon Headlight till I get some Eclipse headlight.

Did a search but never found the info I want.

Anybody here knows if it will "fit"???

Ghislain.

I don't think so. 95 Talon headlight are longer, and you won't able to fit the 97/99 Eclipse bumper on the car, the edge of the two headlights will be the way.

Everytime you see someone put eclipse project lights on a talon bumper, there's that small space you have to fill because they are smaller. Does this mean your lights are to big? I can't say for sure, but it kind of looks that way.

I recall seeing projector lights for sale in the WTS forums. I'll go look. Maybe you can get a bit of a credit for the bumper to help pay for projectors and then sell your current lights?

for sure 97+ eclipse bumper will NOT fit with the 97+ talon headlights. however, if you know for sure your 95 talon headlights are at least 2 inch shorter than 97+ talon ones then it may work (no guarantees expressed!). i am talking about the edge of the headlights where it 'points' towards the emblem. you want that edge shorter in order to fit an eclipse bumper. but then again the shape of the inner edge is another matter...not sure what the inner edge of a 95 light is shaped like...

ok let me be more specific Ghislain, from my own experience.

my car, with 95 headlight, tried to put a bumper which is decided for 97+ Eclipse. It doesn't fit, enough said. The inner edge of the light towards the elbem, is long and the bumper will hit it if you put it on, unless you cut the bumper a little bit (for about 1.5-2" I remember) It's a simple work but I suggest you to return it and get the right one....

by the way, all 2g Talon's headlight has the same size, the only exception is 97/98/99 Eclipse which is shorter.

That is exactly the ansewer I was looking for.

I was aware of the difference between the two but did not know if their was going to be some "interference".
