On the topic of rims ,would anybody know of a shop or a rim manufacturer whom can widen rims? Basically I need my rims cut and have 4 inches welded back on ,making the rim wider.
If any one knows of a place please let me know as I am in need of their services. I did find a few shops but they are all located in the far regions of the usa. Im not to crazy about shipping my rims to someone whom ive never met to work on them. Even if they were legite I still dont want to pay the shipping costs.
SO I need to find a place here in the gta or canada.

Yes, people do widen their rims. Usually the Supra or Datsun guys when they put on flares and don't want to buy a new set, or sufficiently wide rims just aren't available for a reasonable cost.
I've only ever heard of places in the U.S. that do this though.
The Supra forums might be a good place to do some research.

Hey rob thanx I did contact stockton wheels and quite a few actually , but most said they could only widen steel rims , after playing e-mail tag I called a shop up only to receive the not so best of customer services. Which is why I want a canadian company I can send my stuff to and deal with. I can and still could purchase the advan rg' but to be honest with you I like my rims alot and since they're still lighter then stock and only about 5lbs each heavier then the rg' why not make something totaly custom? Beside it would actually be cheaper for me to go this route then to buy a new set of rims. Hey Ryan C Gallant thanx for the info would you have and address or say a phone number? I used to live in hammer town right by the copps colosium downtown. I miss it especially the spirited driving up and down the escartment, but I could do with out the smell though.

Wheel Wizards are at Sherman and Barton street. Storefront is on Barton, but the garage is on Sherman (Just North of Barton - One way anyway).
You can 411 to get the number.
They are fairly decent CS. But prices is a little steep. No harm callign to ask.
I would jsut get a new set of rims. Not worth the hassle and $ if you ask me.

To be quite honest the advan rg's would run me about 1550 shipped to my door , but I just dont to spen that much , more like maybe 800 ,so I could make my rims 17/10 all around.
Custom deepdish rims which are one offs , why wouldnt you want that?Plus they would probably weight just about the same as the stokers or maybe even less. my rims weigh in at 20lbs per rim.

I feel you man ,When I look at a viper or porche ,even the mercedess sport coupes I fall in love with their deep dish wides ass rims and tires ,I dont know but it's one of my obsessions. Im going all out maybe I could stuff 315 or 335 wide tires on my talon with 11-13 inch rims on all four. You can go as wide as you want the question is what are you going to do about them sticking out of the fender? I searched and found geeky fender flares so My buddy is making me some custom ones ,so he can show case his fiberglassing skills off. Nothing like being a test bed and getting the work done for free.Minde you shure I would have to foot the bill for the fiberglass material but when I think of 5 inch deep dish my mouth waters and I get giggly inside knowing the only way to hide those bad boys would be to put on some jgtc500 race car flares. Umm if anybodyneeds any fiber glass work done ,I'll give you his number ,he is off the hook.
