I don't have the time or energy to really work on these cars anymore. Planning on fixing it up but I've decided I will just focus on my car 95 awd now and clean up the garage.


-THE GOOD-

-Engine runs perfect-
-The car is unmodified all original
-The body on the car is in excellent condition,
-There is no rust anywhere
-Leather interior is in mint condition
-Comes with new Sony Mp3 deck-
-Brakes are good
-Car is lowered 2"
-Dark tinted windows


-The Bad-

-Transmission likely needs to be rebuilt- It pops out of first gear when the gas is pressed however all the other gears work fine including reverse.
-Needs new front shocks
-front bumper needs some paint


I'm asking a very resonable $3500(as is) for the car which is an absolute bargain considering it's worth atleast double that.

I'm surprised I haven't heard from more people, if the sale doesn't go through with Ryan I will likely end up fixing it myself.

How much would it be to fix it?, I might be interested.

If someone would be willing to help with the tow back, I'd take it, finding a tow is hard enough.

Ryan, buy this god damn car already, can't you just get a 10 day pass, drive up there, and if it's just first then who cares, start it in 2nd. Should be mostly highway driving.

Something tells me the tranny's not in the car Linky thus why driving it home (even in second) isn't an option.

The transmission is in the car and the engine runs, if you start in second gear you can drive it fine all the way to 5th. I never got around to pulling the transmission out or diagnosing the problem further.

I will be at the yorkdale meet tommorow in my 95 awd if anyone wants to see the 97 after just let me know.

You cannot drive this home as it is registered under James' name before it was safetied, therefore you cannot put a 10 day permit on it as the ownership says "Un-Fit" on it.

In James' defense, you can drive it, as long as you throw plates on it and take it home, risky.

you can still get the 10days permite,if your getting it off james,just get the insurace then your good,that's what the permite is for'to get it to a shop,and get it pit to the road again

the 10 day is so you can get it in fit cond. if it was fit, you wouldn't need the 10 day.

Ummm... The ownership MUST SAY "Pass-Fit" on it BEFORE you get the 10 day.

If it does not, you MUST have it safetied BEFORE you can get the 10 day.

Thats right.. the 10 day is mostly used to get the car to pass emmissions. Can't have a car on the road that is unsafe, but you can have a car on the road that is polluting in 10 day temp periods. Also a car can only have 4 10-day plates per year.

Brandon, Grant - The car has been previously registered without a safety certification. That means it is not driveable until it has passed safety. Only then will they issue a permit or a registration with a fit status (and be driveable).

If you buy the car and dont put it into your name in 6 days, the ministry labels the car Unfit. You then have to get the car towed to get a safty. Then you can a 10 day.

But that is only if you didnt transfer the car into your name in 6 days I think it is.

Other than that, you can get a safty aslong as you have an insurance policy number.

Or if the previous owner didn't get it into ther name in six days, or if they had to get it into their name without presenting a safety for other reasons, then the unfit status carries forward to the new owner. No drive until safety - period.

How about I knock off another $200 from the price and someone can put this towards towing the car away.

While the car drives from 2nd-5th gear, it is registered as unfit at the moment so it has to be saftied to be put on the road. There is no way I can recommend you drive the car home in the condition it's in now.

It just needs to be towed away.

$3300 use the extra $200 and get yourself a tow truck.

Another thought....the tranny issue is not going to show up in a safety. Any chance the car will pass safety? If so, it could be towed to a local shop, safetied, and THEN get the 10 day trip permit to get it up to Sudbury and rebuild the tranny...

The car is pending sale for 2700 any offer higher than that will be accepted. However this car has to be off my property by thursday. Car has to be towed, it will not pass certification as it sits right now.

How much cheaper could a 97 sell for ??? $2700 someone can make a good car out of this.

James, got a line on a truck and trailer to pick this thing up. May be able to do this on Saturday. I find out tomorrow, if I can, it's a done deal.
