Personally I think it looks like crap as all the 4g's do to me... but this one even moreso. They dropped the "street" looking front bumper and went with a more conservative front end. The tail end is a tiny bit less rounded off than before but it still looks like it got rear ended by and egg that just won't fall off.

If anyone is planning to attend they do have an EVO 9 on display as well....price yet to be determined.

I liked this one a whole lot more.... thus the reason the shot looks so much better lol. I spent 10 seconds shooting the Eclipse... I spent 15 minutes waiting and setting up on this one.

Not on stand or anything smile

ohhh... and chek this out:
I was wandering around the Nissan paddock and I went and talked to the reps and brought up the whole launch dilema and how the transmission on the GTR is sh!t.... (for those who don't know, if you launch the Nissan GTR using the built-in launch control about 15-20 times, not only does the transmission fail, but its NOT covered under warranty!!) The Nissan rep admitted to them REMOVING the launch feature next model to resolve this huge oversight hah.....

poor nissan... at least they make up with basically every other fine tuned nook and notch on that car... and MAN they sound crazy. A guy in a Midnight black one gave her a bit of thorttle down front street.... that sound...

Yeah the GTR is a pretty sweet ride, driven a couple of them, although only for short drives, awesome! the exhuast sounds great!
(BTW I'm a New Car Sales Manager for Nissan)
The car that I'm waiting for is the 370z, ordered them last week, summer demo? smile

I've seen photos of the 09 Eclipse GT & the front looked better then the previous model year, then saw it at the show & it looked like crap (while I like the new styling alot better then the previous gens, never been a fan of their front). They must have an add on lip or something thats an option, because I believe that was the top of the line model, but it was defently missing something. Was funny, when we were looking at it my buddy says "is this the special off-road addition?" Then I take a look at the wheel gap, holy crap!

I've sat in the Evo a few times already but I can still say if I had 50K laying around, it would still be my car of choice. May not have the best interior, but gives me that warm fuzzy feeling every time I sit in it laugh

Love the ZR1 corvette, though going to have to get your order in soon, guy was saying there only making something like 15 available in Canada a model year. Also said pretty much all next years production run is spoken for as well.....

Heh. That's if the ZR1 still has a valid warranty for it in a few months...

For 50K there are much better cars than the Evo X. Bmw 335, 135,G8 GT-GXP,Ford Mustang GT 500, Nissan 370Z.

You can also save a lot by just getting a Subaru Wrx 265 for mid 30k and be just as quick as the Evo X.

Mitsu missed the boat AGAIN on this one. The premise behind the WRX/EVO is that they're a cheap car with lots of power, so a premium of maybe $10k over the base model is in order.

NOT the same price as a near-luxury car from a top-tier Euro or Japanese manufacturer...
