I hear a whining noise when i step off the gas, its faint but i think it might be getting louder.. could this be t-case or rear dif? Maybe my drive tran is loose?

It's probably in the drivetrain if you only hear it while coasting in gear.
You won't find the culprit unless you take it all apart, or replace pieces one by one.
I wasted some good money on a wheel bearing when it was actually a shaft in my transmission with incorrect clearance due to a bad shim job.

If anything you'll have to wait for it to get loud enough to locate the area that the sound is coming from.
