Bring it on. Try and get the car finished. If you can make it, GREAT! If not.. maybe next year?
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

What time are we supposed to be there with our cash to avoid being turned away? Sorry Tyler, somehow I missed this. We're aiming to be there for 10am. (Meeting at the 401/403 merge for 9am). By the time we all get there, get teched, and the track is ready, etc, I'm guessing we should be racing by 11 or so. It's not a "hard" schedule but if my old memory serves, that's about what happened last time.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Yes, spectators are free to come/go.
Mike: the rest stop we're meeting at (9am) is about 2 minutes past where you'll be looking for us.. easier to just go there?

The tech is usually fairly lenient on these days.
However, things like bald tires, oil/coolant leaks, loose batteries, and general overall condition is what they may look for.
If the car doesn't look like you were lucky to get it there, and you're battery is secure, you're probably OK.

They generally just ask if your running nitrous, and pass you/ I have only been hassled once for a battery tie down and that is because it didn't exist. A friend of mine went in a car that looked like a total heap with missing body parts, and a battery tie down made out of twine or some thing along those lines.

BTW: this always comes up when a group goes racing... Bring pants to race in. You MAY be allowed to race in shorts, but you're not supposed to.

Good luck guys. Hope you all have fun and run some good times I would come but cannot arrange a tow for my car, and its definately not worth it to pay for a Uhaul truck and trailer. With no CAA coverage this year, it doesn't make sense for me to drive down there, with a likely chance I can break the car. Have fun everybody, hoping to see some 10's and 11's...

I think that would be more of a hassle towing it there and trying to source parts from wreck yards, so I can fix it and get back home to get to work the next day. Almost makes a tow back home more worth it, as I have enough spare parts at home to fix the car if it breaks. I mean if someone wanted to lend their truck and tow me to and from the track, that would be awesome. I think that is too much to ask for though

Reza you are disapointing me.
I will be driving almost 4 hours and will probably push it a little more than I would like. The risk of breaking is there.
We can always pull resources together and get your car back in shape for the treck back.

Ok, I've booked the day off so I'll be coming for sure I'll either ride along with Jamal, or bring my own car to race...

^^ sweet! Its good to see more faces for tomorrow. I brought my jackstands/jack and just sockets/wrenches. So far the line is holding up, i just twisted the line a bit. If she pisses tomorrow then ill just watch . I didnt have time to fix the line (i didnt have the other car to putt around to get parts), and im in St. Caths right now, and the car is hot. Ill keep a lookout later tonight and tomorrow before i meet up with Steve.
I almost forgot what 2nd and reverse gear feels like.

I ran : 10.94@131.92 10.93@132.61 12.3@80.47 (missed 4th completely and just coasted in neutral) 11.07@131.95 I could have prepared a little better as I was rushing things last night. Didn't get to bleed the clutch, didn't put in my new shifter cables and most importantly didn't do a boost leak check. My car was down on power and no matter what I did with the boost controller, couldn't get past 33-34 ish psi. Car wouldn't idle for sh!t and I finally realized my issues at the end of the 4th run. My PCV valve hose was completely blown off, causing a massive boost leak at the intake manifold. I could just imagine how hard the FP3065 was working to keep 34 psi Put a smile to my face when I saw the huge boost leak, as I was only running pump94 and meth injection, and still ran 10's, in this bootleg mode. Only difference from street mode was the slicks. I decided since the car did not break, and the tranny had enough of a beating for the day, it was time to pack up. All in all a good fun day of racing No one broke their cars, and there were some other personal bests. I'll let them speak for themselves Other than that track prep was nothing great at all. I could fry the slicks in first easily.
