We have had MANY requests for solutions to the rusted out 1g AWD fuel sending unit problems, so we have finally tackled a solution.

Now, we haven't been able to do anything about the rusty studs. Any GOOD solution for this would require that the installer have a certain skill level, or that the tank be delivered to us. Neither of these seems practical to us, and there ARE solutions out there with bolts and JB weld that WILL work quite fine.

The pump/sending unit, however, we HAVE done something about. Keeping in mind that this unit is pumping gasoline under pressure, we just didn't feel that any of the other "repairs" that we have seen or read about was the answer, so we have come up with our own solution.

It was designed here at RTM, so you KNOW it is quality!

These are basically a replacement for the factory unit, but designed specifically for a Walbro pump. They are NOT intended for Bosch or double pump or any other fancy setup.

On our prototype, we tried to use brass for the electrical connections, but we have found that we can't tighten the nuts up tight enough to prevent the studs from spinning, so we are switching to ALL stainless steel hardware, at least for all the eclectrical and mechanical connections. There will still be other metals in the plumbing connections. For this reason, it will be another day or two before the first one is ready to ship.

The ONLY thing we haven't been able to ascertain 100% is the overall length/depth of the pump. We are 99% sure we have it right, but we are never happy with only 99%. We don't have a 1g AWD here to try it out on, so offering $30. off the first one sold in return for some feedback.

Thanks again,
Ziggy
