While parked for the winter my car had a tree fall on it and all that was damaged was the hood, rather than repair it i was thinking maybe i could find something lighter that adds character.
I'm looking for a carbon fiber hood, I'm willing to consider all styles and conditions and make fair offers on them... ideally I'd be looking for a OEM or EVO look but please send pics of anything you may have to MartinGouda@Gmail.com
i'm also intrested in hatches if you have them...my hatch has a bit of rust developing and i'd rather upgrade than replace.
i love the boost

i havn't gotten one reply about a single hood or hatch that's for sale?
does anyone know a place that sells them or that offers good deals on these types of things... right now the best price i have gotten was $710 and a month shipping...i don't want to wait a month and i don't want to pay that much.

I can get you a NEW hood, but not a hatch. There is not enough demand for the hatches. I would need to check current pricing, but I think it is about $450. + taxes for a hood. Of course, shipping to you could be a little pricey also, but we could probably work out something where I would deliver at a reasonable cost.
PM me if interested.

ziggy, would an evo style hood fall into that category? i know seibon makes them but i don't know who your supplier is... even if it doesn't i'm still interested...and i'd be willing to drive to niagra and just scrap the hood i have while i'm there...it's rusting on the edges and dented in the middle so i'm not really planning on keeping it... the cf hood is more of a repair than a mod, i just didn't see the point of replacing with more of the same old stuff.
i have seen a few for sale and have been seeing 250-350 for pricing, but i seem to be a day late every time i get a line on one.
anyways... any more help is greatly appreciated.
i love the boost

Martin, sorry I never answered your earlier question. I don't believe my guy makes anything other than OEM style for the 2g, but they are good quality, and excellent value for the money. I also DID manage to convince him to make 2g hatches. He needs to make a mold first, so they are going to take a while, but they WILL be available, and at reasonable cost compared to most places...probably around the $600. mark without glass.

when they are... let me know and i'll try to hold out till then, i'm not in much of a rush i'd just rather buy carbon parts than invest in rust repair and seeing that it looks like i'll be restoring the car might as well do it right...
however... will the power wiper still be an option?

however... will the power wiper still be an option? The hatches will be essentially "blank". I spoke to the guy who's making these and he confirmed this. Apparently this is far and away the most common form of hatches for ANY vehicle. Apparently, there are just too many variations that would each need its own mold, so it's nearly unheard of to offer multiple, slightly different versions of the same body panel. When you think about it, there are several 2g DSM hatch variations: several different spoilers for instance, all with different hole patterns for attachment. Also, some people would want a hole for the aerial, some wouldn't, some would want a hole for a wiper, some wouldn't, etc. Apparently, carbon fiber panels are made to be easily drilled, filed, etc and this is how the various accessories are attached/accomodated.
