My cousin's car is still for sale at the same random used car dealership. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Eagle/Talon/TORONTO/Ontario/5_9585927_ON20080219110908266/Just so you guys know it is MINT. Original paint, still sparkling, he had a full 3" Thermal something turbo back exhaust, whiney fuel pump, so I'm guessing 255 walbro, hard upper and lower intercooler pipes, and I believe that was it really. Boost controller, AFC (took it out prior to sale I think?), stock injectors, stock FPR. The black leather shouldn't have any cracks from the last time I took a ride a couple of years ago. I think that's all he did to the car when he had it. 97 rims on the car. For someone who has money to burn and wants a 1GB that looks like it drove off the showroom floor, go get this car. I wish I had the dough to pick it up, this was the car that got me into DSMs. Edit: Oh yeah, he had an ACT 2100 in there, he said drivable, but needs a new clutch, because it was slipping under boost.

LOL He completely copped out, and traded it in for a 2008 Murano. Couldn't believe it. He didn't even mention to me that he was selling it. I mean come on! I even offered money at the time he was thinking of getting rid of it. Jeez. Well the whole family is pissed at him for not "giving" it to me, but I wasn't expecting it for free. What a jerk. Edit: People keep saying go get a loan. From where??? Advice needed. New thread?

Go to the bank. 5k is nothing. Any bank should be able to work out something for you. Most of them will easily throw 10k or more at you if you have a job and have not fucked up your credit. Also if your looking into financing a new car, credit requirments are not that strict to get you approved. Its a secured loan, they do a registration against the car, so if you miss payments they can take the car back.

wtf, 5k for that teal 1g? I don't even want 5k for my 2g It's a used car dealership. BUT, if you LOVE these cars, want a mint 1GB with low mileage, that's worth it IMO. If I had the dough I'd shell out right now. Reza> that's what they say, but if you have any outstanding loans, or your credit card is near the limit, they reject you immediately. I've asked, so I'm not going back for another 4 months or so. My credit limit is only $1K, I have an outstanding student loan, which I've been making payments on, on-time (late a couple times, literally twice), and they rejected me. Sucks balls. I get paid more at my new job, but they said it's not so much the salary. <-- Does that even make any sense? Well it still sucks. I couldn't even get 10K or 7K. I didn't ask for 5K, but maybe I will. We will see. I'm getting pretty anxious about driving a DSM right now. My short time in the cockpit of mine was enough to get me going. Someone lend me your car for 2 hours so I can get my fix.

Michael, Student loans usually will not show up on your credit report unless you have defaulted on them somehow and they went into collections. They are government loans, they WILL get their money back if you default, so it should not impact your credit. Late payments on the studnet loan will not showing up on an equifax report. Late credit card payments will show up if they are over 60 days late. There is always a 30 day grace period. Having your $1k credit card at the limit and having it revolve with you just making minimum monthly payments, will impact your credit score negatively. Having more than 2 inquiries into your credit report in a month or two will also raise a flag, there is an inquiry section at the botton of each credit report which keeps track of who pulled your credit report. They know you are looking for credit and this affects your score. Its definately a good idea to wait 6 months from the last inquiry, have a job for atleast 6 months, and start paying that credit card down so it doesn't keep revolving. If you take these steps, go to the bank after a few months and I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you a 5-10k loc, depending upon proof of income. I've have been a credit analyst/specialist in the past, and have been working in the financial services industry for the last ten years. I know what it takes to fix and frack your credit

Hey! Great! Now you'll be harassed about something other than DSMs!
Thanks man! Hahahaha j/k.
Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to do now, not so much for a little loan to get my "material things" fix, but to prepare for the future and buying *gulp* a house/condo.
Bah.

Even if you don't need a "little loan", it's wise to have one. Use it wisely and paying it off on time will make your credit look better and will help to set you up for that future house You see, banks like seeing people with credit who don't use their credit, or use it and pay in full every month. It bumps up your credit score big !

Good point. I'll bring that up with the wifey. Get a loan, to pay it off, to build my credit. Loan will be for the car. I must fight for it.
