I'm in the same boat, there is virtually no aftermarket for the Lancer, but i'll tell you what, there's a hell of a lot less for the 04-06 Ralliart Lancer. I think for the most part it's a double edged sword, since there so little for aftermarket, the enthusiast community is proportional. Myself i am a member on evolutionm.net, and there is often some decent stuff in the "for sale" but most vendors that favour the Lancer are in the deep american south. I have yet to find anything in Canada. Road Race Motorsports has the best selection of aftermarket lancer parts, but their prices are retarded for the most part, competition is minimal, and they are in the US. I also have an 03 Lancer ES. What exactly are you looking for, i know some people. but if you think about it, the Lancer has only been in canada since 02-03, and the civic has been around for a long time. There has been some ground breaking work done recently as far as ECU modifications for the lancer, so things should shape up over the next few years. Piggyback ECU's, and timing boxes will soon be a thing of the past. I have my ECU reflashed and tuned for non-turbo, but am working on a turbo build around that using subaru injectors, and MAP sensor for the EVO.

Hey Garrett, im signed up for the evo site but i never really go on; as for modds, i wanted to do something to boost power, i think the oz rally is 130hp out the factory. I was looking at air intake system, i wanted to replace the Euro tail lights with the stock tail lights and I also wanted full exhaust. You sound pretty knowledgable about lancers, is there anything i can do to my lancer to get more power ? without really having to spend much ? So far most of my plans are to make it more eye pleasing to me, i wanted to change the front and rear bumper, add fog lights and the ralliart has a high rise spoiler that looks good on the OZ.

That site (evolutionM) is an excellent resource, and just like any other site, you'll need to search and read for it. The only Canadian site (non lancer specific) is Mitsubishi Car Club Canada. They're pretty quiet and don't seem to be too much tech talk in there. I'm a member of both forums, and EvoM is much much better. Garrett is right, the mod community out there is mostly for the Evo, and the 08+ Ralliarts. There is a bolt on turbo kit for the 4g69 engine (the one you have i assume? 2.4L?) http://roadracemotorsports.com/stor...info&cPath=1_5_13&products_id=88 but it's kind of pricey and you can probably build one cheaper yourself. Much cheaper. If you have the 4g94 engine (2.0L) http://roadracemotorsports.com/stor...t_info&cPath=1_4_7&products_id=3 is the kit.

I've seen this black Lancer with green wheels and stickers all over the place with an African-American girl driving it like twice in the past month with MCCC labels.
Scarborough and North York.
I guess it still exists.
Plus what's his face on here, Lucas W(?), is part of that site with his N/A White Eclipse.

LoL turbo kit is kinda expensive for 5-7 psi cap on a stock motor. i pretty much want to do everything but turbo charge the car, see how far that gets me. Ive seen so many oz lancers with a body alteration that made it look like an evo, those looked good; i wanted fog lights too lol. have any of you heard of the reliability of a 4g69 that has been turbo'd ?

I can't get into the details yet, i have yet to access my ECU personally and study the program, but from what i understand, reading/logging has been done, but as far as anyone knows, a full blown reflash with launch control, rev limit increase, and the ability to fuel under boost using larger injectors is something new, and only one guy the community knows of that can do it. I know he's done european 4G94 ECU's, all 4G69 ECU's, and i forget the vendor, but he actually programmed the base tune for bolt-on 4b11 turbo upgrades, as well as turbo kits for 4b11 non-turbo. Hackish aka Michael Richards has a shop in Gatineau called PSI tuning. Still no word on north american 4G94 ECU's, which are the heart of all ES, LS, and OZ rally lancers from 02-06, it's SOHC 2.0L with a yucky exhaust manifold. The 04-06 Ralliart has a 4G69 SOHC 2.4L MIVEC engine, and way better suspension, plus 4 wheel discs, and a decent looking 4-2/2-1 header. I also need tactrix 2.0, however Michael has written his own software for tuning, not sure if he based it on existing open source software, or wrote it from scratch, but it's in beta testing now. So...to the OP: Unfortunately, i don't think there is officially a reflash available for your ECU, but piggybacks will work, i just wouldn't trust it under boost, so if you plan to stay non-turbo, increasing your flow, and a piggy back would be a good place to start. Also, i would look into stiffening the suspension if you haven't already, the OZ has the same suspension as the base model. what most of the guys are doing, is cold air intake, injen or AEM are both good, larger or ported throttle body, ported head, 4-1 header, full exhaust. Some guys say the aluminum underdrive pulleys are great, but i have not tried it yet. For turbo, don't buy a kit for the love of god, RRM uses a 5th injector pre-throttle body, uses a piggyback to manage it, and the tune is sh!t. And it's incredibly expensive. I know of guys that have blown a 4G69 cause their piggyback failed under boost, but there are guys running 12-13psi on stock guts, but that's using stand alone ECU's. 4G94, 6-8psi seems to be what most guys are running. RRM kits keep the boost on the Low, because they have no real way to fuel it properly. Oh my, i'm rambling. *inhale* If you get aftermarket body parts, i would take your stock bumpers, the wife wants the OZ rally lips for the ES. I think Accolade had the best "evo vii" conversion, but they sorta disappeared. extreme dimensions has some nice kits, but their evo conversions suck.

Reza, i would imagine the 4G69 feels weak dragging an outlander around, lol. It hauls pretty good in the lancer, better even than the 06+ eclipse GS which also uses the 4G69. I'm trying to get a 14 second slip naturally aspirated, before i start on the turbo build. And that's with stock exhaust, no porting, just tune and a few bolt ons.
When you're ready for boost, i know the 4G69 pretty good, i haven't been inside the block yet due to time constraints, but i have the turbo stuff pretty well figured out as far as hardware. Only things i'm not sure of is, suck through or blow through MAF, where to recirculate/vent and where to tap for water. I'll Be asking Michael Richards about that, cause he's the guy that can tune it. And he's also designed a kit that will be available on turbokits.com, and as well, he's done a kit/tune for a RIPP mods supercharger.
Oh, and inspect your timing belt often, mine went at 165k i bought it used, and it was the original belt lol, i assumed it had been changed since it was due prior to me purchasing the car from a mitsu dealer.
Also, to other lancer owners, or 4G69 outlander owners, Delta cam does regrinds as well if you wanna play that game, much more cost effective than the "stage" cams you can buy online.

I have about 110k on mines and I'll be doing the timing belt soon. I don't think I'll need to change the water pump till over 200k from what I hear. It looks pretty straight forward and the tensioning tools and processes are pretty much the same as our 4g63's . I think the tensioner pulley and idler pulley use the same part # too. The European version 1g Outlanders aka Mitsubishi Airtrek's came with the same 4G63 as the evo's and based on the same drivetrain, lucky bastards! The US versions share the same drivetrain as well. If those cars came with a 4G63, it should be fairly easy to drop one in mines. I know AMS did an EVOLander with around 600WHP. It would be sick if I could get my hands on a used evo motor, rebuild it and toss it in with an HTA35. A 500+ WHP outlander sure sounds like fun to me. I think just finding an evo 4G63T is the way to go Edit: Found the AMS evo lander: http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/for-sale-2003-mitsubishi-outlander-evolander.html

Nice, I know a lot of the base and OZ lancer guys do the 4G64 swap, as it's 2.4L but the control harness is almost the same as the 4G94, and the transmission is almost identical as well. 4G69 is drive by wire, so it makes swapping a little more difficult, but lots of people do it in PR they drop them into mirages, and in europe they put them into the 1.8L lancers.
I know of one guy in Quebec who swapped his 4G69 head, for a evo 9 DOHC MIVEC head, on the 2.4L block.
As for the 4G69 water pump, mine started chirping at about 150k.

I think I would most likely track down a 4G63 Airtrek wiring harness and ecu from Europe or Japan, since the platform is the same, or maybe try to buy a brand new one. Seems like that is the easy way to go for the Outlander.
Looks like I should change the water pump too. Well the mitsu techs told me they don't usually see them go till like 220k. I was just gonna go in there and do the balance belt, t belt and tensioner. Idler/tensioner pulley and water pump at the next 210k interval.

Just to chime in:
I assisted Garrett in the instalation of his TBelt. Thing is very similar to our 4G63; same B.S. instalation and Tensioning Pulley and Hydraulic Tensioner. Only noticable difference is that their is only one Cam. I even used Ryan Tensioning Pulley "Tool". Worked like a charm.
I also think that more than 7/8 psi of Boost can be squize into the 4G69; especially since you installed 1G 7 Bolts ARPz. Again; it's all about the tune rather than boost.
My bet is that you'll start with low boost and you'll soon be rock'n 12 to 15 psi without any ill effects.
It's all going to be a two wheel peel.

I'm thinking it shouldn't be as hard with putting the one cam straight up Should be pretty hard to mess it up. I like how these newer mitsu service manuals have the correct tensioning procedure too. Tension till grenade pin can slide in/out of tensioner, spin motor over 6 times, wait 15 minutes, and pin should easily slide back in/out of tensioner.

the full service manual, as well as CAPS sure is handy.
I think the best and easiest way to make power in any lancer is forced induction, the only trick to it is the manifold/exhaust, they are all custom/aftermarket, and quite expensive, that's why i'm making my own.
To get any real worthwhile gains while staying non-turbo will be had from lots of time, money, expensive parts, and weight reduction.

I was part of the club. I'm not sure if it's still around. I know it was down for a while. Last I heard, it was suppose to be back up and running soon.
