If you check the thread I mentioned you will see some stores have taken the coupon off after the discount, so the total is 7.79 (just the tax)

Oh maybe the figured it here. Because the price of the scanner is 119.99. Minus the coupon of 60. Which makes it 59.99 plus tax. Already tried it.....

I'm going to try calling around to locate one first.

I tried at my local store and they said they are no longer taking the coupon.

I went at lunch and theres none left, and an employee looked at me as if I was mad to suggest I would walk away with one for free with this coupon lol.

I tried a few places again today, some say they have 1 showing in their system but nothing on their floor.

Stores can't refuse the coupon. The coupons are issues at a corporate level so each store HAS to participate. If they don't, call customer relations and let them know.

The only way a store can refuse the coupon is if the corporation issues a 'correction notice'. It must be displayed by the product, and by the catalog since that's where the coupon is found.

Most stores are sold out by the sounds of it, so if you want one, ask them to do it as a 'sold order'. Basically what that means is, you pay for it that day (to take advantage of the sale price and coupon), then when it arrives in store, you pick it up. This is very similar to a raincheck, except you are guaranteed the product because you've paid for it.

Now, what is your definition of a discount? Another coupon, or a sale? Hmmm.... Personally, they should of been smarter if they didn't want people to take advantage of this. As far as I'm concerned, the current price of that item is $59.99.

When the corporation screws up, we were expected to still honor the coupon to customers that request it, but not to advertise it to others.

At the store level, the store will be reimbursed for any coupon offers issues by corp. I don't see why you guys are getting a hard time from them, some stores are real tight asses!

Belleville area sold out as of yesterday but they were issuing rainchecks with an expected delivery of May 5th. Associates were very confused on how to handle the coupon despite the instructions beside the barcode.

I got the same scanner for xmas. and I still have the receipt. I should by it for free.. and then return it with the old reciept and get 60 bucks!

Mind you.. I have a obd2 blue tooth adapter I bought on ebay for 10bucks and a few free apps that do everything the scanner does.

I got my dad to try it and it didn't work, they wouldn't accept the coupon.
