What is the max amount of spacer I can use? Im mulling over the idea of fender flares with my fd (rx7) rims.

5mm without extended wheel studs.

anything past that, run longer studs.

Totally correct, I run 3mm to clear my cobra calipers.

I personally wouldn't exceed more than 20/25mm because you may prematurely wear your wheel bearings.

Ou-fuckin-ch! all 4 at the same time! lol

Do some shopping. When I bought my winters from a couple years back, I needed spacers to clear the stock calipers (yes... odd size rim, but unbeatable price) Gorilla makes extended lugs that will fit inside of the rim opposed to just the acorn end.
