Well I never understood how you guys went through Jerky so fast, I snack on it through out the day and during work but it takes me a while to get through. I now understand, I did an hour of driving around on wednesday and by the end of it I was almost done a half pound of jerky!

Search through this thread if you want to know how much it is, I know I mentioned it somewhere in here in one of the first few pages.

I don't think that's working Mike. Our 35lb order is the largest order he has every shipped. I think most of his customers, at least the big order ones, go and see him.

That would have been $700 worth of jerky and $45 in shipping. Holy sh!t! Anyway, if you ask me, and depending on where this stuff is shipped in Ontario, $45 to ship a 35lb box is pretty decently priced. I just wish that Laszlo would do more than "$5 off after 5 lbs or more" when you get into the tens and twenty's. That $5 savings doesn't really help that much. For instance, if he did $5 off ever 5 lbs, and when you buy 20 lbs, 1 lb is "free". I'm just thinking out loud here, and regardless of any discounts, it's still very good quality jerky at very good prices.

I think that might be because you are so far Mike. Us guys here get a dollar off per pound after we get more than 5lbs. I think you guys need to look at what the cost of making this stuff. I did and from what I have seen he is not making a killing like you guys think. I wouldn't request a bigger discount cause he might have to start using the meat that he was planning to toss for your orders

This isn't a business for profit for him. He has a full time job. This is his hobby.
I would be happy paying $20 per pound, no matter how much we buy. Generally when you get really high quality, home-made food, it costs MORE than the sh!t you buy in stores. This guy charges us less from the get-go. And when you're dealing with fresh food, larger orders are harder to put together.
His shipping prices are right on par with all the other shipping that I deal with.
And to address an earlier issue: one of my shops bought 6lbs of jerky from me on the last order that I delivered by car (early Nov?). They still have one bag remaining in their fridge. There are no signs of mold. Follow his instructions, and this stuff can last, fresh, for a while.

Us guys here get a dollar off per pound after we get more than 5lbs. That's what I meant to say, sorry.. He gave us the same deal you're getting. I'm not going to stop ordering his product unless the quality starts to slip. And the mold thing was a result of me leaving a bag out at room temperature, although sealed, still untouched after a week and it started happening. Unlike gas station jerky, without any preservatives, I should have expected that to happen and it just goes to show the quality in freshness. That was my own fault. $20 out the window..for me not reading instructions can we move on from that, please?

I throw mine in the freezer before i even open the bags and also after the bags are open. I love cold jerky. Freezer!? Fridge for me. I put chocolate in the freezer, now that's good. Cold jerky's good, but I like to drink a beer or tea or water or some liquid with it to mix it all together in my mouth so the flavours from the dried jerky all come flooding out.
Try it! So good!
Oh and I don't know if it was a mistake, but my last order of Terriyaki HOT was WAY hotter than the Bhut I got this round.
I like the flavour of both, but I'm kinda scared of the Terriyaki HOT. Yes, I said it, I fear the heat.
So I might go with Bhut again next round, similar flavour, SALTY, and less hot, but the Terriyaki was GOOD.
My mouth says yes, my asshole says nooooooo!

That's good to know Jeremy, yeah I was telling everyone to put it in the fridge so that it last. It does get moldy pretty quickly if it isn't sealed and put in the fridge though. Yeah not to sure about the freezer though, I always end up forgetting sh!t there and then it tastes like crap. Cold jerky is definitely the best though!! That's what I meant to say, sorry.. Apology accepted

Cause I like things pretty I will repost the list. Nice find Rob!! I think I may try the Biltong, that sounds interesting. Chipotle Habanero sounds nice but hot is probably too hot for me, if anyone is down to split.

No problem Mike.
So guys how soon do you want this? Is placing it on the week of the 30th ok, I told Laszlo that I want stuff sent out on a Monday so I don't have to worry about it sitting at the post office over the weekend. I assume it will take him between a week or two to have it ready.
