I don't have a DSM to play with, so I'm not really involved. I think resetting the counters each year makes sense though. For motivation as mentioned above, and in fairness to any "newcomers". (imagine trying to get into the game 20+ points behind?)

I went to that church a bunch of times. Its a Ukrainian church, all made of wood, no electricity. Was really nice inside.
