I would remove the shock cartridge first but I will probably just use spacers.

Its really starting to take shape now I cut up my old struts to use the strut mount and welded it in the evo strut, im not super confident in my welds so I may go back and drill and tap a bolt in there just so I can be %100 im sure its fine but better to aire on the side of caution.

I also go my tyres mounted and bolted those up and attached the fender flares I'm really happy the way these turned out, I have to play with the fronts a bit though the way they sit just doesn't flow with the rears but I need to install the front coilovers before I can play with camber.

Opinions welcome.....

Good work on the shocks I figured that the bottom mount would just rest inside the u joint, but I am guessing that's not the way it works.
In the stock evo suspension that was the way it went.
Did you pick up those other camber plates?

In the back of my mind I was thinking what if I want to return them to stock but it may get redone that way.
Glad you all like the way its going.

What are your thoughts on colours?
I will probably get it dipped I was either thinking flat black with gloss accents.
Or panda white with black hood, flares, roof and spoiler.

panda looks pretty good, I goofed around with photoshop when I was planning on dipping my car.
When I did mine though I did it like the sushi delivery car and liked it, flares was the one thing I was missing to complete the look.

Just a warning I am not an expert photoshopper and my cars paint is really uneven making my job even more difficult.

So replacing the front Shock canister is turning out to be a big job the mount wouldn't unscrew so I had the cut out the old canister, and the collar are seized up too sigh......
I have the mount soaking in petrol as we speak hoping to shift some of the rust and corrosion because I could only get the new one screwed in halfway.

Ok so both fronts are on, replacing tje front blown shock cartridge was a f#@king nightmare alot of cutting, swearing and knuckle grazing.
But its done now and the car is back on 4 wheels, the fronts are a little higher than they were with the old set up but I will lower the flare to accommodate that and if I feel like going even lower ill shorten the bump stop and it has another inch to go.
I also found out my wheels are not jeep gamblers but a deep dish version made by american eagle.

Hope fully the last update untill its on the road.

Should pass the emissions test as long as its got a working cat. Remember, my 1G nearly passed the first time with a super, super old cat, an exhaust with many large holes burned through, boost leaks and the worst idle surge.

Was my pleasure to help! Will idle mint once those few problems are solved.

Car looks great in person, and will be awesome once it gets painted. Could also use some wider rims to accommodate for super wide tires. Would look hella mean!
