NO, this is not just some sappy message meant to appease her...
We were talking the other day about possible new cars if I can ever finish school and find a real job. I mentioned that it would be hard to get rid of my Talon. We're so...'attached'.
So she counters, "Well, I want to get one just like it then. That way, they'll be easier for you to work on..."
Ha! I knew there was a reason I married her. (:

Hahaha! Kudos to your Wife Troy! I got my Talon when I was still engaged, and I love it. I then asked my wife "Hey! should we get matching His 'n Hers Talons?" tee hee. She didn't quite go for it cuz she wanted a four door car instead, so I bought her a Stratus. Oh well, it's better this way anyway, I joke with her and say "I wanna be the only one with the 'expensive to own' car" It's funny comparing repair/maintenance costs between the two cars..... A wheel bearing for my Wife's Stratus: $158 installed. A wheel bearing for my Talon: $350 for the PART. Hahahahah I love my car. Go give your wife a big hug 'n smooch Troy. I know what it's like to have a COOL wife. Dan
I want an RS4.

Troy, Don't tell us you love her, go tell her you love her! Just don't go making any babies, they draw from the mod budget. Jeff Mitchell

I heard of a cool street racing story where they had his and her's matching Chevelles (old story). Her's was a small block, and he'd bring it to the local hangouts. When he agreed with someone to go race for $500 somewhere, he'd say - I'm off to get my slicks. Then he'd get his identical (almost ) big block and win the cash.

Heh. It just scares me giving her something with power. She'd rather an automatic, of course, but still.
When my mother drives my car, she keeps saying, "It's scary. It just wants to go faster, and faster, and faster!" (:

The gf would really like to own an Evo VII as a family car. No sh!t, and she was quite impressed with our WRX test drive.
And I mentioned the possibility of a trip to next year's Shootout, and she's brought it up several times since. She really thinks a road trip to the DSM Shootout would be an excellent vacation...!!!
And she agrees that a 1g NT would make an excellent winter car for me....
Heheh.... the brainwashing is working just fine....

Todd, when you drove the WRX, did the 2nd gear have a whine under WOT? The reason I ask is that the dealership I work for has this car and the tranny does make a noise. Back to the original subject,Troy's devoted love of his wife/MacDonalds.... I knew you were a softy at heart,,,, But I guess you being the Nova Scotia equivalent of Shrek has it's disadvantages,,, Let's put this into the right place,,, You can always replace a wife, but you can't replace yer DSM.. RIGHT??? The difference of course is that if you do get rid of the DSM that's the end of it.... Get rid of a wife though,,, and you keep paying for years to come....... Not that I know frig all,, I've been married for 20yrs,,,,,, But like a DSM,, I know how far I can go without causing trouble.... HAHA... PS.. My Buddy ,, the Captain helps too ------------------ Captain Bob Morgan A pint a day keeps the bullshi$$ers at bay. Make your world a happy place, drink more rum.

You can replace either, Bob, but the replacement is just never quite the same... (:
Hmm, mine's been whining in 1st lately. Maybe that WRX has a tranny that's out of whack?

The wrx trannies are POS. not surprised that 2nd is making noise Bob, heard of that allot lately from a few subaru boards. and if anyone is thinking of buying this car to make power, better invest in a better transmittion, they have been grenading after 280hp.
