Its still cheaper than 150US a night a the Best Western or some other hotel.

also 190 / 2 = 95US for 3 days isnt too bad

Anyone in or around Ottawa going? I was thinking about going but I was really wondering if it's worth blowing a $1000 USD to go down there.

I don't think when I was 17 I would venture down if money was a serious issue. Thats my opinion though, it also wont cost you a grand either.
Maybe 3-400 bucks US all included.

But in montreal they would sell beer to a 9 year old so he would be OK.

I'm 18 in May. Quebec is next door to me.

I stay at the track. So much cheaper. Bring a tent and tons of beer. Always works out mint! Especially when you end up in Sheps trailer drinking Yager bombs staring at his car. Drool.....

Ive nevr camped out in Ohio but i hear its humid as hell.

If the weather is anything like last year, I don't know if I'd want to be in a tent lol. Friday and Saturday, while we were just leaving Cedar Point, it started to pour, and I mean torrential down pour. It was crazy.

If things work out as I hope, might take the weekend, the Talon, and the GF to head down there. It's a few months away, so I'll have time to get myself out of the "stock" hole and put up a timeslip. Let's get some Ontario plates down there!! (with the Club DSM Canada frames around them of course!!)

Yes they have shower facilities! Camping was like $12 a night. It was fine. Got hot at times but the beer took care of that. Only part thats sucks is that a lady will come around and collect the money at around 8am!

Which kinda sucks when your hung over and still drunk.

Hey Im wondering for you TO guys, how long it takes to get down there.

I would basically add 5 hours for myself.

Where do you guys cross at, Im thinking Windsor/Detroit.

If you're going then I'm in for sure. I'd be driving my car down.

Perhaps we can meet up with the TO group and convoy down together.

7 hours or so from TO with little to no traffic.

Its best to go down to detroit, lets hope for no rain this year!

We personally like to cross at the Falls and go that way. It's definately longer but less pot holes. When you're taking a fleet and trailors we find it easier.

Me and Amber (GF) will be going , just kinda weiry about bringing the dsm so far from home lol..

A small group of us from Ottawa are making plans to head down as well. We'd like to meet up with some of you guys from the Toronto area and all drive down together. Is the majority driving out Friday morning?

Of course we will all meet up and convoy it, It'll be neat, I will take lots of videos. and put one together.

Me and my girlfriend are planing to stop either at darien lake (theme park) or niargra falls on the way back though..

As far as I'm concerned we (Peckerhead, Andy and I) will be leaving Friday AM.

I think it's best to figure out those fine details in early August. Too many people say they will come but we get the same lame excuses every year:

"I can't get time off work"
"I can't afford the <$150CDN trip"
"My g/f and I got in a fight"

Is there an official videographer for the event.. if so, I'll volunteer for ca.dsm -- I have a professional 3ccd videocam and a full non-linear editing suite. Most of my work are for weddings, but I think I can do a car event!
