I have a '91, but only had it for 2 years and I got a recall notice. It was for the O2 sensor, the Timing belt and the Front seatbelts. No mention of the transfer case. What years were recalled?
I have oil running down my driveshaft, splattering all over the underside, and all over the exhaust too.

all 1g's for sure, not sure but I think 2g's dont have this problem.
Do a search for the word "transfer" and that should yield a ton of info

I have a 91 Tsi Awd (US model. I went to the Chrysler dealer and they told me that there was no recalls for my car. What should I do now?

you have to be persistant with them. They will do everything to deny or refuse to warranty the transfer case. In the US, there is a lifetime warranty on the transfer case because its a safety recall. Apparently Chrysler only worries about dollars and not safety so they try to cheap out.
Do a search for "transfer case". There lots of info to be found.

Thanks Chris. I did what you said and hit the jackpot. I also called the dealer and, after quite a bit of prodding and forcing, they agreed to look at it. They told me the recall was done Nov. 17 1998 and that it cannot be done again. But I pushed the issue, told them Chrysler says it's a lifetime warranty repair, and they agreed to look at it. They said they have to determine if the leak is coming from the xfer case (which it is - and very seriously) before they'll do the work for free.
Thanks to you guys here, I'll get it done right!! Has anyone else experienced a failure AFTER the recall has been done?
M.
