Hi.
I have a 1993 laser awd turbo.

I recently bought a walbro 255 high pressure pump and install kit.
I went to take the sending unit out and i notices that the little nuts were very very rusty.
some oil and somw car i got 1/2 off ok...the other half broke right off.
im screwed right now.
i did the install and put it all back together but i only have 1/2 the nuts holding it down.
when i floor it gas spills out and it reaks baddd.
HOW ON THE EARTH CAN I FIX IT?
does anyone have an idea?

thanxs

cheaper the better!

Replace the tank. It comes with a sending unit. It's the EASIEST solution and not overly expensive ($300ish).

Helped install one this summer local rad shop $300 for a tank with sender unit.
Easy...dealerships are expensive.

Try this guy for tanks,
Devi's Gas Tank Supplies - 416-243-5017
12 Milford Avenue , North York , ON M6M 2V8

He showed me a FWD one, he might have AWD too.

Somehow he had a brand new FWD fuel pump bracket.. and he's got plenty of used stuff in good shape.

I thought I had it bad with FWD cause I had to vise grip all the bolts holding my bracket and they were rusted more than anything I've seen.. I guess I was wrong.. at least mine came out:)

I ran my old AWD with half of its sending unit studs intact...
Ran a gasket with a thick bead of Gasket Maker (Special stuff that doesnt get eaten by gas- IMPORTANT) It was of little issue after that. Only instance would be sharp turns when tank was filled to the brim. But we all know DSMs rarely see full tanks anyways AMIRITE???
