Hey all you guys that say you can go fast
lets see how fast you can go on this road
course in Shannonville. It is 4.05km which
you do about 3.7km and I did that in 2 min 6 sec top speed of 190 km so lets see if you can match that,it was my first time there.
It was a great time and lots of car to see 6 DSM to. so come on out it is just off the 401
and not far from T.O so let see if you got what it takes to go fast.

http://www.shannonville.com/maps.htm
It is the SMP long track

Hey Scott!!!

TX for posting this topic. I've done it so often but never got much success in getting that many ppls to come (except the locals).

Would be nice to get some from T.O. and Ottawa to Show up. Some of these boys should be able to give you a good spanking!!!

Wish you luck.

Ghislain.

hey guys,

the first shannonville ppl was great, i really enjoyed myself and had fun hanging out with all the guys that showed up. i was very suprised how friendly everyone was, i always thought car guys were pretty snobby. shame on me for making assumptions.

i don't think ill be able to make this next one but will try for the one after..

have you guys ever heard of any street drags around the quinte area? i know there's a lot in toronto and in the states, i was just wondering if anything like that happened around this area? i'd also like some thoughts on street drags from anyone who's been or has an opinion about them.

Hey Ryan.

Glad to see that you enjoyed it. Drop in anytime.

It happends from time to time that some individuals... do a few pass on Wooler RD here in butt frack Trenton. It can't last for too long before "Quinty West" Police show up. Put it this way they know the spot.

Tell me if you hear of better spot.

BTW Scott and I might go to a 1/4 miles event on the week end of the 9/10 June. Same Track as the PPL.

Ghislain.

Pay Per Laps are the night when you can put your car on the track. It cost $20 for 5 laps plus a free one to get warmed up. It is normaly done on a 4km road track, no 1/4 sh!t.

Most ppls are like you and me. It's lots of fun.

Next date will be June 25th. Starts at 5:30 PM till sundown. We are normally 4 to 5 DSM from this board and lots of other cool cars; Acura NSX, Ferrari 308 GTS, WRX, AUDI, Porches you might also see some Chevettes and Sprint. You can also ask these guys to give you a ride in their sleds...

Keep looking we always put a post to remember everybody about this event.

Ghislain.

Hey Julian.

I've often asked and never got much ppls from T.O. area to show up. I understand that a Monday night ain't the best for ppls that comes 1.45 hrs away specially if you have to work the next day...

I can tell you that you won't regret coming. Make sure the weather is good before you take the road... One of us will be putting a "fresh" post a couple of days before the event.

Their is normally about 5 to 6 local DSMer that show up. Most from the Trenton/Belleville area plus one guy from Kingston.

BTW we sometime go for a few beersss and wings after the gig.

Ghislain.

I'm going to try my best to be there. The supercharger is working great now with no belt slippage and I'll have the supra turbo on by then.

Ghislain,

Michael bought an AWD, then put a supercharger in it, and is upgrading his turbo to one from a Supra.

What have you been under a rock or something? [Linked Image]

Michael, sounds sick, I can't wait to see the thing in person! [Linked Image]

This ppl sounds like a lot of fun!, i didn't know they did that at shannonville.

Oh man, i can't wait till i can finally own a Talon Tsi, if only selling my Accord was easier.
Come to think of it, it would only be about an hour drive from where i live near Kingston, woohoo!.

Yo Ryan.

Can't wait to see you at the Track near you. Their is also a DSMer from Brockville on this board. Do you know him??? Maybe we should try to get him to come over.

That should be a good turn out.

Ghislain.

Hey Ghislian

No i don't know him, i actually don't know anyone at all, i'm just a newbie, haha.
Once i get a Talon, if I ever get one (sell my car first) I'll have to meet u guys.
Actually i did see some moded 2G talon in Kingston, its white with a lot of decals on it, it looks sweet, is that anybody from this board?

I feel so pumped about getting a Talon, i miss that feeling of getting planted in your seat when u punch the throttle. I used to have an '87 Camaro Iroc-z, that was a fun car! [Linked Image]

A buddy of mine is setting up lapping on June 28th. It'll be either $0 for the front track or $50 for the whole thing, depending on how many people are interested. (If there's enough, we'll do the whole track). It will go from 5:30 to 8:30 - as many laps as you want. E-mail me if you're interested.

Ghislian, I am the Brockville DSM'er [Linked Image]. Unfortunately, my car has been out of service for about a year [Linked Image], but I'll be going in my brother's modded Neon (don't laugh, it's actually very cool)

Ryan, that modded white 2G in Kingston is a freind of mine. That thing runs low 12's! And this year, he has a bigger turbo! Also he is very fast at Shannonville, keeping up with the fast 1 Lap cars!

Low 12's, sh!t!! thats sweet, I'd love to get a closer look at that 2G.
I'd luv to go to that lapping session, but i need a Talon first and i don't think I'll have one by then, still trying to sell the Honda.
Its going in the Trader this Friday for 2 weeks, so i'm crossing my fingers!
Please sell, please sell, please sell!!

Yo Peter.

I can't find your e-mail address.

I would be interested in the Jun/28th laping. Don't know for sure but I'll put a check mark on my calendar.

Keep me in touch.

I would just say look for the Red Dsm, but if you look at prior pictures, red is the dominant color, then I thought look for the Laser, then I realised the Lasers are common at this event 3 out of 6 Dsm's 2 (2 are red) People lets get some Talons out to this the last time I felt a little lonely and picked on by the plymouth camp...

I'll try my best to make it. I'm eager to blast around a race track, even if it does remove 5000kms of tread life from my RE730s. But hey, that's what they're designed for. [Linked Image] Count me in.

TX Phil. I needed that. Just getting old so I'm not up on all tire brand and model numbers... Come over and make "Balddenies" out of them. That will give you a good excuse to buy a new set...

Yo Tim. What the hell should I do next. Just sit back and let you spank me (at the track that would be)???

I'll have to try to dig up something to keep up with your stance.

Ghislain.
