Hi all!

It's been a long time since I posted here! I had problems with my car this winter and didn't have any time or $$ to put in a new engine till this summer.

Now everything looks good, the car is in great shape (pulls really hard!) but I have a major oil leak around the oil pump cover.

The problem is that it seems to be leaking only when I boost. I can let the car idle for days and it won't leak, neither does it leak if I drive like my Grandmother.

I'm 100% sure it's not leaking from the removal of the Balance shafts (really dry there), Camshafts seals, crankshaft seal (well let's say 80% sure on this one!) or the head gasket.

Anyone knows what could leak only under boost? I'm really looking forward to take my car back to the track before it closes for the winter.

Front case maybe, I had that problem.

Where's it leaking from??

Turbo oil return line maybe?

Are you sure it leaks under boost?
It probably leaks at higher rpms than under boost.
Did the balance shaft locking bolt on the side of the block come out? How about your oil fiter cooler.

I forgot to write where it's leaking... it's from somewere on the t-belt side lower than the head and higher than the crank.

I also have some oil on the left cross member but I think that came from the oil pressure sending unit wich is now fixed.

I am now replacing the front cover gasket, crank seal and oil filter bracket gasket. I hope that will fix it.

I found out when I removed the crankshaft gear that the spring that is supposed to be in the seal was gone. I really think that's why it's only leaking at higher RPMS (Kevin must be right and boost have nothing to do with that!). Does that makes sens?
