I replaced my front passager wheel hub about 3 months ago, and the driver's side about 2 weeks ago.. I think it's safe to say they are coming to the end of their life. Mine had under 100000km on them (1996 TSi AWD) but it's mostly city, so lots of turns and stops.
Wilson Mitsubishi sold them to me for $215 CDN.
(Wilson is in London.. New dealer, ancious to sell parts. Took them about 5 business days to get it to me.)
Car rolled over the 100000 mark today in fact.

I got the first one for $189CDN at Wilson, but by the time the second one went, there was a price increase to $215. Not a bad price, many places want $250. Good luck.

Ah, wheel bearings. No other car I have ever owned has had as many wheel bearing woes as my Talon. I have now replaced all 4. Bear in mind that it might be better to acquire the whole hub assembly, as corrosion makes separating the bearing from the hub an absolute nightmare, (if they can even get the hub off in the first place) and I am speaking from experience. What money you may save on the part(s) you will pay in labour just trying to separate the assembly. For the hub assembly, ~$400 is an average cost.
Then again, I'm an idiot, as I drive my car all year round, so it's my own fault that corrosion fuses the undercarriage into 1 large piece.
I want an RS4.

In the past 8 months I've replaced one rear bearing and one on the front. They are actually hub assemblies.
There rear bearing from Chrysler was over $400, and the same part from the Mitsubishi dealer was $189. The front bearing was around the same perice.
It may not be that easy to change however. The inner part of the hub assembly's are splined to mate with the drive axle shafts. My rear one had the drive shaft rusted in so badly that it took a 15 tonne hydraulic press to separate them! And the shaft got mangled during the operation.
My front one was as easy as pie, however. We're talking around 160,000 kms on mine, so I doubt you're would be rusted in like that.
Good luck!

I had one rear hub assempbly replaced as well at 105,000 km. Major job for my Brother-in-laws shop to repair. (heat and a hydraulic press)

hmmm...I'm getting the same 'droning' sound from rear right wheel but only from speed and not from turning. Sounds like a moaning sound as you go faster. I just thought it was from the rubber that is almost bald on the rears  .
So is it safe to say that I have the same problem as Leon? I got another month before I put it away in storage so can I get away with it until I put it back on next year?
EDIT: I meant rear drivers side makes a moaning sound. Then again it could be both but since i'm closer to the rear left side then that sound is dominant.

A funny thing. My 2G talon Tsi has the exact same problem. I recently replaced both of hte rear ones. The car has now close to 180000km. Now the rear driver is back to the same moaning noise. ( I fucken hate that noise especially on the highway). I tried to go the cheap way and ordered after market bearings only. It was cheaper than buying the hug assembly at Cooksville Mitsu (I think it was cooksville Mitsu on Dundas and ??? in Mississauga). Anyway i already regeret not paying a little more and getting this noise out of the system. I am now thinking of replacing that darn hub.
