Just started happening today,I started the car and it drove fine, I had to stop somewhere after about 5 minutes of driving. When I was got into the car to leave, i started it, and it had a very low idle (both sound and rpm)(rpm's were 600). My car is generally fairly loud at idle, and it idles around 900 rpm. If i try to drive it there is no power, and if i come to a stop it will just shut off. I changed wires, and ign coil on March 30th. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Kyle

Intake pipe blown off somewhere? Sounds like a large vacuum leak.

It could be, my boost guage was reading 10, at idle, when it usually reads at around 18.
I will check all the intake pipes today.

Thanks

i had that problem with my old car it turned out to be a cracked valve. The low compression from the valve couldn't keep the idle up to normal. It also had no power when driven.

The sound of a redlined engine with the turbo spooling to max boost is the work of a god.

Check your compression.

A burnt valve would do the same. I have a leaky valve on my car and it idles funny and sounds like it has some sort of performance cams (which I tell people when they ask why my car sounds funny...).

I went to Radim at Metalex, on March 30th, and they tested the compression, it was 150-150-145-120 or something like that. I will check it again as soon as I can

Thanks
Kyle
