I was hooking up my oil return line, and i got it fine on the turbo, that i went to screw in the two on the oil pan. 1 went in grat. NOW the second one started to go in, then it just kept turning. FRIGGEN stripped on the oil pan i think?? WHAT DO I DO??. Like i said the bolt when in half way then just kept turning? Should i get a bolt that is not as long? Then put a washer on it to seal? Or just throw a wack or RTV around it? I can get the other bolt pretty tight, but i want a good seal.
PLEASE HELP, any idea would be so amazing.

Thanks

Make sure you start threading that bolt in with your fingers. Eventhough it looks possible - if you try to use a socket from the start you'll never get it lined up.

If you can thread it in by hand and it just keeps spinning, I'd suggest drilling and tapping for a larger size bolt.

I think re-tapping for a larger bolt is probably your best option at this point, if there is room for it. If you were willing to remove your oil pan, you could use a nut on the inside. I would suggest using one of Rob Cauduro's flange fittings, so you never have to remove it again. Also, I think you are supposed to be using a bolt with a crush washer under the head, as that bolt could otherwise leak oil...

Yeah i know, Rob was saying something about that, how they came like that stock,. So he said get the bolt on and then throw RTV on it.

Rob- the bolt goes in half way like it is threading in, then it just starts spinning not going anywere.
Bolt stripped? Oil pan? I didnt think the walls onthe oil pan were that thick so i did not know how many threads were in it.

I am pretty sure there is a nut spot welded to the inside of the pan, so there should be enough wall there,,,question is, is there room for the larger diameter??
